I got a desktop Steampunk Driving Helmet as a Christmas gift(very cool looking item). I had to visit the store for a missing part and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Great items in the store and I plan on visiting again after the Holidays. That’s for having a selection of Steampunk items!!!

This place is absolutely awesome and adorable. Brian B. is right — there is no other place in Edmonds like it. And I was only in Edmonds for a couple hours. but I’m pretty sure that’s all it takes to get to know the town. I loved the absurd randomness of geeky, wonderful things they had from a multitude of independent artists. And I understand why they have to mark everything up, and that artistry should be rewarded, but I just can’t afford this place. I wish I could. There was a D&D game going on while I was there, and it made me smile. I loved eavesdropping on their adventure while I poked around the shop, marveling at all the pretties I couldn’t have but want want want. I did buy some tea leaves for my roomie that turned out to be really delicious and made me wish I had gotten my own as well. If I’m ever up in that tiny town again, I’ll be going back for sure.

Went in there to buy a rare book, ended up window shopping for an hour. Returned two weeks later to show my son. Great collection of sci-fi/fantasy/steampunk memorabilia, books, art, games, clothing… all sorts of fascinating stuff. No other store like it in the area.

For some reason I thought this was a comic book shop but that is ok! Otherworlds was pretty cool anyway despite whatever preconceived notions I had in my mind! The place focuses on a lot of books and Steampunk merchandise which is really impressive looking and looks very well made. Based on personal preference alone I have moved on to Dieselpunk fashion so finding things here that I could not live without was not a problem for me. The book selection is vast and has lots of fantasy, steampunk and science fiction in the inventory. There are lots of intresting Steampunk jewlery and trinkets in the display cases that are for sale and the presentation of these items is fresh and crisp making the visit very memorable and one of the better Steampunk places that I have been to.

A fantastic steampunk themed shop in Edmonds. Definitely worth the trip if you are not in the area, they stock a lot of really amazing local vendors and handmade one-of-a-kind items for sale. They also have a great selection of snacks and sodas and do game nights that are a blast.

This place is awesome. I love it. There is no where else in Edmonds even remotely like it. it is a sort of a combined bookstore, game shop, curio shop, and clothing/jewelry shop all rolled into one. Oh, and most of the stuff has a steampunk element or theme to it. I hold my weekly Dungeons and Dragons game there. They have a comfy table tucked into the back with a few chairs and some bench seats. They have old vintage, out of print games, along with some popular new ones too like Descent(which is AWESOME by the way — somebody should really go and buy the copy they have in the store) and even a modest stock of Magic the Gathering Cards. They have some eclectic and sci-fi/steampunk oriented greeting cards, which I’ve stocked up on. The owners are super friendly and have been very accommodating and accepting of my weekly game. They have a small stock of drinks because being a DM can be thirsty work. Oh, did I mention they have Mexican coke, the kind with REALSUGAR. No? Okay, well, I’m mentioning it now. They’ve even agreed to order me a copy of a new card game that is coming out in reprint. You should check this place out. It’s a lot of fun.

This is a very cool store: in the front they sell costume clothing and toys, for example nerf guns. In the middle of the store they sell books and games. They have a very comfortable table to play games at also.

Otherworlds is an odd mixture of library, tea house, and time machine. It’s as if one were to walk into a Victorian era Tardis, look around, and decide that this is the place you wanted to call home. From the handcrafted powder dart guns, cool steampunk-ish costumes and knickknacks, to the selection of gaming books and fantasy, sci-fi, and horror fiction, this little shop is a must-visit for all who have any geek in them whatsoever. Ahrin and Brinn, the owners, are kind and attentive, and willing sit down and have a conversation over tea and cookies, swapping stories of adventures passed down from gamer to gamer. Also, for you Browncoats, there is a fair selection of Firefly and related merchandise to peruse as well. Make this shop a destination. There are plenty of laughs, warmth, and nerdliness to go around!

I don’t know why this store is categorized under Fashion, because it is much, much more! Otherworlds is like the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop of Edmonds. It has unique decorations, unusual items, and peculiar if not bizarre goods(space-aged modified nerf guns?). If you are not into the sci-fi, steampunk, or gaming, this should definitely be your next stop when visiting Edmonds for a «other» worlds experience.

Steampunk has invaded Edmonds! Otherworlds brings games, books, costuming & geekery to the renovated Milltown shopping area. Eclectic and friendly, this little shop is now on my list of places to spend my cashy money. I love the choice of science fiction books and the steampunk-inspired jewelry. Shiny!
