Really disappointed when we came here the other night. I have been here before and the food was delicious. But for some reason our food tasted like it had been sitting around for an hour… the fries were completely soggy and shriveled like when they sit around and you go to reheat them… my deluxe burger was also tasteless and mediocre. I am going to say that this was a bad night for them for some reason because of the quality issues and I know Dick’s can be very tasty…

This location is by my house and I love it. The burgers are fresh and simple. The fries are amazing. Greasy but good. You can’t just eat one at a time. You have to shove a bunch in your mouth at a time. I think it’s open till 2am or 3am, so it’s a good late night snack.

Today I went to Dick’s Drive In in honor of Dick Spadey. They had a sweet dedication to Dick at the registers. I will keep this review short and simple. This is a locally owned company who treats their employees very well, the Edmonds location feels safe, tons of parking, and shorter wait times. The delicious deluxe burger will satisfy your cravings. While the French fries appear soggy, they get the job done.

Just another dicks burger. Nothing fancy or special about it. Guess it better than McDonald’s. This is the place for quick fast burger if you don’t want Mcdonald or Burger King

One of my favorite Dick’s locations and it’s not all the way in Seattle! When I first moved to WA, I didn’t really understand the hype about this place, but it really grew on me. After the first few visits, I learned to appreciate the food and business that adds to Seattle’s uniqueness. First of all, all the employees have great benefits and are able to apply for a variety of scholarships, which sets a great example to other businesses. All the ingredients are fresh, nothing is frozen. The patties are 100% beef, the buns are locally made and even the fries are made with real potatoes that are cut by hand. The simplicity of Dick’s burgers is what makes it special and after one bite, you’ll understand why. On top of that, everything is so affordable it’s ridiculous. Most the burgers are under $ 3, fries are under $ 2 and the shakes are also under $ 3. It is cash only, but there are ATM’s on the side of the bathrooms. This Edmonds location is great because it’s safer than Seattle, there’s lots of parking and it’s always fresh. Everyone who works here is nice and when I ask for unsalted fries they make me a fresh batch every time. Thanks for being so awesome!

Pretty f*cking good. Had ordered two to start with and then ended up getting another. If I am ever in the Seattle area again I will have to come back. Damn you guys are pretty lucky to have that out there… Although I guess I’m lucky enough to have 3 different in-n-outs in a 4 mile radius around my house lol

This review is for all of the Dick’s Drive In locations. I’ve loved this place since I was young. It’s a throwback to a simpler time and a true dining experience. I can’t eat it as often as I did when I was younger but it will always hold a special place in my heart, most likely in my arteries… All of my California friends go on and on about In-N-Out Burger. Dick’s is the real deal. The food is better in every way and the tarter sauce on the Dick’s Deluxe is a nod to their Seattle heritage. I love their just-slightly-soggy fries dipped in more tarter with a shake on the side. This place is always like a visit to my youth and I’m glad I’ve been able to share it with my own kids. They got to attend the grand opening of this location with me and we were on the front page of the herald along with thousands of other enthusiastic fans. This place is the gold standard of the drive in experience.

Fries were cold. The Special and Deluxe were both semi warm. A bit of a disappointment. Hadnt tried Dicks in a few years. First time at this location. Used to go to the one on Capitol Hill and Wallingford. I dont know I was hungry so I wolfed it all down.

How do you write a review when you didn’t even get to try the food? I guess they make enough money that loosing a first time customer will not even phase them. I stopped by one rainy Seattle evening wanting to try this place out, and when I asked for no pickle, they said no special orders. They only make them one way. I even asked for a burger with no sauce. Nope. No special orders. So I said thank you, and walked away. Didn’t even phase them. I don’t consider myself a picky eater. I just don’t care for pickles, or relish. But when a place won’t even leave their sauce off, then they are too full of themselves. Good luck to them.

You cant get anything without condiments. Seems like a pretty big flaw or maybe the employee was just lazy. Dont know. Wasnt explained to me.

I am a 40 years fan of Dick’s Drive In. Cheeseburgers are great, the Deluxe is amazing and the tarter is the perfect add on. The big kicker to seal the deal is the fries. Crispy with that unique DIck’s Drive In taste. Thumbs Up!

Been out of town for two years. Dying to get home for a good burger and fries. Yum, yum. Deluxe and fries and a tarter sauce. Wish I had been hungrier, I would have had two. Keep up the good work!

Good ol’ Dick’s Drive-In. Truly a Seattle icon. You don’t come here expecting a gourmet, grass-fed, medium cooked patty, all-natural cheese, and organic toppings. No, you come here for the fattening, sloppy goodness that is the $ 2.70 deluxe cheeseburger. I’ve had Dick’s several times over my years in Seattle, but this was my first time at this location. Being Dick’s, it did not disappoint. It was affordable, tasty, and extremely fast. The service was a little lackluster(not the bubbly cashiers I’ve had at the Broadway location), but let’s face it, when you’re going to Dick’s, service isn’t exactly your first priority. If you haven’t given Dick’s a shot, what are you waiting for?!

Yuck! I get it. People have fond memories of this local chain but c’mon, people, don’t let your sentiments override your objectivity. It’s time to admit The Emperor has no clothes and stop worshiping this WAYYYYY over rated fast food place. They are fast and the burgers are cheap but tiny. Even if you eat it in the parking lot they are luke warm at best. The lettuce is wilted and tastes of sulfites. You can get them with or without the gelatinous cheese-colored product. I don’t like the«cheese» as I find it coats my mouth with artificialness that even a drink of pop won’t wash away. The salty fries are also usually cold and soggy and greasy. Don’t get me wrong, I can love me some greasy burger and fries if they taste good and are served hot but this slop is a congealed heap that I would only recommend if you are very drunk or very hung over. I don’t understand why this place has such a cult following. The only reason I gave them more than one star is because they are cheap, fast, and I never get tired of making horrible puns about their name. Yeah, I’m juvenile like that!

Decent location, with decent amount of parking. You need to know what you want before you go up to the order window. The staff is quick and will take off before you know it. So be ready and order as quickly as possible. There is no place to sit down so either take home or eat in your vehicle. There is an ATM on site, because Dick’s accepts cash only. The food is quickly thrown together so don’t expect clean or fancy. You’re getting super fast food. I personally don’t like the cheeseburger but the Dicks Deluxe is good. In all, if you want super fast in and out service. And you just want something to shove in your face, this is the place. Avoid during meal times, like at noon. It gets super busy.

So I had a deluxe burger. Soggy greasy fries and a chocolate shake. None of which would make me want to return. I prefer a Five guys or a double double from In N Out. This meal for $ 7.50 was a disappointment. yes, it was fast but lacked tomatoes, jalapeños, and flavor. The shake lacked flavor and seemed to be a mix rather than ice cream, milk and chocolate. Meh, i expected more from this institution! I can’t believe the fries have always been popular this way! Limp and greasy? Maybe you should offer gravy so there would be a reason for this texture! You couldn’t pay me to order them again!

On a routine gas stop, we spotted Dick’s along the road. We decided to pull into the parking lot to see what it was all about. Needing a bite, and seeing the prices were very reasonable, we got the deluxe burger and a side of fries. The fries were less than stellar, they were soggy fries. Although they were $ 1.65, they did not satisfy my fry craving. The burger was ok, it had 2 beef patties, so it compensates for a smaller size. Burger and fries for $ 5, not too bad. They also have floats and shakes and ice cream on the menu, which I would like to try next time I visit.

One of the more unusual locations in the chain, maybe. Right by a busy intersection, but stuck in a corner of a supermarket parking lot – a supermarket that is permanently closed, at least until someone takes it over. What can you really say about these places? They’re cheap enough and open late enough that most likely you will try one of them sooner or later no matter what Unilocal says. And they’re all basically the same. This one is clean and usually busy. It’s been here for a couple years and I finally got dragged here. There’s nothing wrong with it, and the prices are very fair. The fries are limp and pasty, and the burgers have virtually no patty in the overall patty-to-bun/toppings ratio. Very low meat content, so you mostly taste bread, lettuce, and sauce. It’s a pleasant late-night snack after you’ve spent a fun evening doing other things, but the corny dick jokes(at least from my friends) and low food content get a little wearisome after a while. I’ll be back, or not.
