I’ve been eating at this place since it opened many many years ago. Almost weekly for a few years. My waistline can attest to that! The fajitas are the gold standard that every other Mexican restaurant is judged against. Fresh tortillas made in house greet you at your table along with salsa and queso for each person and a big basket of tortilla chips. Give their habanero salsa a try too! You absolutely will not leave this place hungry and will enjoy every moment of it! Best Mexican food in Oklahoma. Hands Down.

Came in at an odd hour, so it wasn’t that busy. I was dining alone, but since the restaurant wasn’t full the server let me pick where i wanted to sit.(ie a big table). Took a while for my waiter to come around. Took another while to get my drink. I know they were short on staff since it was odd hours. I love Mexican food, but I especially love queso. The queso here was meh. Tortillas however were amazing. The manager was super nice and came by several times to fill my drink. I heard it from a friend once and have since adopted it: «Tip like a viking». In other words if your drink ever is empty they get zero tip. If your glass only goes down a quarter of the way they get a 75% tip. Needless to say. Waiter got about a 45% tip. The restaurant was super clean with a beautiful view. Food was also good. I still am disappointed in the queso though

Okay Ted’d you’ve redeemed yourself. The long wait and literally a full house was kind of hard to get over for a second trip after the first left much to the imagination, however this time the food was really good(though the steak still had little to no flavor. Salt helped but I never salt my food so that should tell you something) and overall I feel 4 stars is warranted. Tacos are as close to authentic as I’ve found out in Oklahoma. I’m not huge on Tex-Mex but Ted’s is pretty good. $ 40 for two people(tip included) isn’t bad for dinner out. Atmosphere is pretty loud still but the ambiance was still nice.

Jared served us, and did a great job! Tortillas were very fresh, as was the guacamole. This is a great place if you don’t like spicy.

The tortillas were great, I could eat a bucket full of them and our food was delicious. I had the house margarita… the lack of tequila in it was very disappointing and my date had a strawberry margarita that he said tasted more like a daiquiri than margarita. Californian Mexican is my norm, so my vote is the service and food is good enough to go back for, but not the drinks.

What can I say about Ted’s. This place is the gold standard for Mexican food in Oklahoma City both in terms of food and of service. They offer homemade tortillas, everlasting interesting combinations, the best fajita meat in town, and amazing queso and salsa. Eat at Ted’s. You won’t regret it.

The food is good, but getting a table… and I mean at any time of the day… Good luck. You could be waiting over an hour.

Simply the best Tex-Mex food and service. Period. Ask about«extra items» like vegetable relish or gluten free chips. The food portions are huge and always hot and delicious. Service makes most other places look really bad. Only bad thing is the wait for a table or to go order can be really long. But its worth it. Cause it’s that good.

How can an Okie not love Ted’s?! Their homemade tortillas are addicting and their setup of salsas, queso and pico are never ending. Get the Fajitas! They will not disappoint. Big, frozen mug beers and margs always the the spot. Service is always reliable but prepare yourself for a bit of a wait. Don’t forget the complimentary sopapillas!

This place is sooooo nasty. I was impressed by what looked and tasted like home-made salsa. It was straight downhill from there. The«cheese» that also came with the chips was probably rejected carnival fake cheese. Everything from the rice to the beans was bad. The beans were horrible. Probably the easiest thing to get right was the worst. My waitress was great, but she was the culprit bringing my that nasty food. I won’t even give this place a second chance it was so bad.

I’ve always been a big fan of Ted’s for the excellent service and fresh, homemade tortillas. I had only ever visited the location on N May before I came here though. This locations seems soooo much bigger than that one. I came with a group of ladies on a weeknight and we did have to wait probably 30 minutes, but that’s to be expected. When is there not a wait here? That’s why their speedy service is highly valued to me. They’ll get you in and out pretty quickly. We, however, lingered quite a while after finishing our meals, but it was fine because they were going to be closing soon anyway. Sometimes I feel guilty in situations like that! You can always expect consistency with the service and food at Ted’s. It’s my favorite Tex-Mex in the metro!

Been here a few times, and food wise, its a value for what you get. Now that being said, let me explain why 4 vs 5 *‘s. The margarita had to send back 2x, 1st time was just too sour for me. 2nd time, added sugar to the mix, but just did not work for me that evening. Food was good, and definitely enjoyed the extras that come with the meal. I will be back Ted, don’t let the 4 stars fool ya, its good!

Solid, dependable Mexican. If the wait bothers you, learn the art of ordering to-go! Delicious fajitas and chili rellenos. They totally load you up with chips and salsa if you get to-go. Try the atomic salsa.

A great stop when I come home to see family! Helps that this location is actually in my neighborhood. Good thing for tex-mex chips, queso and salsa. that doesn’t exist where I live now. Great service. actually, our waiter was quite thorough. Can’t wait to come back again.

Ted’s can be best described as average Tex-Mex, and to be honest, I’m not terribly impressed. You really have to look for vegetarian options(and Mexican, or in Ted’s case, Mexican-esque, is very easy to veg-ize). I’ve have their cheese enchiladas with spinach and also their taco salad sans meat, but overall, meh. The service is usually good, and the speed of ordering to food on the table reasonable. I’ve wound up here for work-related lunches, and average Tex-Mex seems to be a way to appease everyone. So while I don’t hate Ted’s, I don’t go out of my way for it. If they had better veg options, maaaaybe I’d reconsider.

This is probably my favorite teds location. Infact, Ted’s in general isn’t one of my favorite restaurants, but this location is delicious and always a good time. I might be biased because it is in my high school neighborhood, so I tend to run into a lot of people I know and recognize many of the servers who have been there for years! Beware of the Friday night lines! It gets busier than most restaurants around. People love this place, I’m telling you. Their special salsas are so yummy, I recommend their hotter avocado one. I always get their fajitas, I think a great choice. For the price it’s not bad, I fill up on so much stuff there that I always end up having a meal to take home at the end for the next day. Also beware, don’t come here on a diet or when you need to be productive afterwards. I usually get into a food coma and become a couch potatoe after all the delicious tex Mex goodies!

Looove Ted’s, and this one easily gets five stars because it has a full bar(the one closer to me in OKC doesn’t have a liquor license… crazy talk in a Mexican restaurant!). Yeah, it’s Tex-Mex, but there isn’t much authentic Mexican food in Oklahoma City(in my experience, anyway), and Ted’s tastes great. The tortillas are the best I’ve ever had and probably ever will have in my life. They are thick but still soft and with a little bit of queso and salsa rolled into it — delicious. I definitely recommend a soft taco or fajitas to get some of those in your meal… that is, if you don’t fill up on chips, tortillas and queso beforehand(guilty). Really, everything is good. Ted’s also does a great job catering; I’ve had delicious fajitas buffet-style at a few parties before and it never disappoints.

We live in the neighborhood behind Ted’s and it’s an effort to not eat there ALL the time. Their food is that amazing… but we do our best to resist the lure too often. EVERYTHING about this place is FRESH! We pass the restaurant early in the mornings and the staff is already arriving and working. Making the fresh salsa, guacamole, chips, tortilla dough, etc. I’ve never had a bad meal here and no one ever leaves hungry! Often we get a double order of steak fajitas and come home with enough left overs for dinner for both of us and lunch for one of us. Not a bad deal! Ted’s starts you out with complimentary chips, salsa, and queso without even having to ask and they also offer mixed vegetables, atomic salsa(my favorite), and warm flour tortillas as well. THEN you get to your order and by the time the meal arrives, you are fairly well along the road to being stuffed. But don’t push it. Ask for a to go box and save room for your complimentary warm sopapilla… and be sure to drizzle a little honey over it. Fried dough is a wonderful thing! If you haven’t been to Ted’s yet, arrive early or at an off hour or you can expect a wait. You won’t be sorry… in a town full of Tex-Mex, this is the best of the best!
