Porters Quick Change Oil

So happy to have found this place. Oil change businesses can be kind of intimidating– I am not an expert on vehicle maintenance. Many places have tried to up-​sell things that my car doesn’t really need or have disrespectful workers, but I have been continually impressed with Porters. Landon is always speedy, polite, and doesn’t try to sell me anything that my car doesn’t need. A+ to this well-​run business!

Great customer service and quick service while you wait in your car. If you’re a professional on the go or a mom of 4 it is so much more convenient than dropping off your car or having to get out and wait 30 – 45 in a waiting room. My family and our business have used Porter’s for as long as I can remember and we couldn’t be happier. Great company!

Incredibly overpriced. I normally change my own oil but I’m a recent transplant and didn’t have my tools at the time. In the area, there are at least 6 shops and I called 5, asking what kind of high mileage oil they use. Porter’s was the only one that had good brands with the others using some no-​name oil.
The last time I changed my oil, I used Valvoline max life and a fram ultraguard oil filter. The filter doesn’t need to be changed every time so I requested the oil be changed but not the oil filter. They indicated that was fine and that I would receive a «discount». Listed as a «manager’s discount», they took less than $ 4 off the bill.
My total tab for 4 quarts of GTX high mileage and 10 minutes of labor: $ 63!
5 quarts at the store costs $ 18. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, let’s assume that $ 18 is their cost, leaving $ 45 for 0.167 hours of labor. Or ~$ 269 per hour.
This occurred 2 months ago and I STILL cannot believe how badly they took advantage of me. I wish I could rate lower than 1 star.

I swung by to get my oil changed here around 5 o’clock because nobody else in town had the filter. The guys in the shop had my car completely serviced in under 15 minutes. I was so impressed and will always get my oil changed here from now on.

Quick service. They seemed friendly and professional. The price wasn’t bad. No complaints, I’ll be back.
