Colby’s Grill at the Station

The food is good, with the exception of the fries which are limp and not crispy. They can make a delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwich. My main complaint is the fact they handle the food without gloves and flies are quite predominant in the restaurant. Good food but bad ambiance with flies.

Excellent burger joint! I eat here way too often! Lol The burgers and fries are great, but the fried mushrooms are my favorite side. They are sliced mushrooms so they are aren’t mushy like whole mushrooms can sometimes be. I highly recommend it!

I don’t review many places, but I stop here on my way to work every few days for breakfast and I love it. I always get the bacon, egg & cheese burrito with salsa. I love the staff and I love the food. Thanks guys for startin’ my morning off right!

Well, when I moved here, Covell Corner was a defunct out of business gas station (poorly managed?). It’s the only gas station within a couple miles, so you would think it would be able to stay in business fairly easily. Anyway, a year after I moved here, it finally reopened, and they had an annoying restaurant service that was never open when you wanted to eat there and was poorly managed. They always ran out of basic things, and I eventually refused to offer them any business. THEN Colby’s came in. I had seen their run down store in downtown Edmond, and had not really been tempted to eat THERE, but I decided to give this place a try out of shear convenience (proximity to our house).
My only complaint is that the burger selection makes it REALLY DIFFICULT for me to decide which one I want. Most of them sound like the one item I would zero in on at other burger restaurants, only there are 3 or 4 that just sound awesome. Jalapenos, onion rings, bacon, chili, egg, spicy ranch. For me, in terms of my food preferences, it feels like I personally made the menu with my favorite ingredients. Anyway, I have been here a few times now, and every time the burgers have been juicy, the flavor combinations are really good, the fries are good, and the staff is helpful. I think they are worthy of a nice stand alone building restaurant, but in the gas station or not, I definitely enjoy them being so close to my house. If you live in the area, it’s definitely the best lunch destination between East Edmond and 2^nd/​Bryant area. On a good day, Railhead is pretty good, but I’d take a Colby’s burger over their pulled pork sandwich. Anyway, give it a shot. You’ll like it. I’m only giving it 4 rather than 5 stars because of it being in a less than nice venue (In the gas station). The food is great.
