As a novice skater I truly enjoy the friendly atmosphere of this ice rink. Very reasonable price for public skate and rentals. It can get crowded at times with kids, and there are little pockets of figure skaters practicing here and there that may at times make it hard to skate. However, I enjoy my experience here each time I have come.

Be careful! They may not give you your change! I dropped off my eldest grandson-13– many times on Friday nights to meet his friends there, and that worked well for us. When my 11 year old grandson wanted to go, I dropped him off with the $ 10.00 admission price(skates and entry). I gave him a $ 20 because he was on antibiotics and needed to buy a drink to keep hydrated. He gave the man at the cashier the money and waited for change. The man took his money and then, as my grandson waited for the change, the man told him to move on because people were waiting behind him.(There was one.) My grandson did not know what to do, so just went on. The next time he will wait and repeat that he is waiting for his change and will not leave until he gets it. I called the next day to talk to a manager and got a girl who said that happens all the time. The kids are talking to their friends and are distracted and walk off without their change. Sounds like a profitable racket to me!

I came here one afternoon to ice skate and was happy to find out admissions + skate was only $ 5 on Sundays! It doesn’t get any cheaper than that! Normally it’s $ 7 for ages 7+ plus an extra $ 3 for skate rental. The rink itself is very big. I’ve been to many skating rinks over the years and this one is the coldest. Usually after skating for a bit, it warms up. Not here, it was freezing the whole time so I’d recommend bringing a sweater. There are no lockers so leave your valuables in the car trunk. Most of the employees were very young. The snack stand had cheap prices but service was extremely slow since it was ran by a bunch of kids. I don’t know if it was because it was a slow Sunday, but there was no employee on the ice to make sure rules were followed. This place is pretty cool. It’s opened year round and have many activities: *hockey for youth and adult *UCO Broncos play here *Pick up games *Curling *Public Skate *Private lessons *Birthday parties
