My son has attended Satori since they opened. He’s been in and out of class due to health reasons. Nancy and her staff have always been VERY accommodating. Are the instructors louder with the younger children? Absolutely. Why? My opinion? Parents should be aware of what is being taught to their young children. Karate takes a lot of discipline and training. The moments I sat and watched my child in class are the moments I took home with me so we could work together on advancing. I highly recommend Satori.

we tried this with the kid for a one lesson. it wasn’t her cup of tea, which isn’t the academy’s fault. as a parent. i found this place extremely irritating to be at, the attitudes of the staff, the loud speech, projecting their voices so that the parents could hear everything they said to the kids during class… it was just irritating. the kid found it so annoying she didn’t want to finish her free intro classes and in fact, lost all interest in martial arts. then, the heavy handed «follow up» sales calls got very annoying. they called me for months. then they sold my contact info for spam. yes, i know it was them. i complete my registration sheets at businesses in a way so i know who’s spreading my info.

Satori Academy is the finest karate school of the highest caliber I have ever encountered. The instructors are excellent and they really keep a community going with the students. I could go on about the punches, kicks, and drills, but that would only be half of the goodness. Other notable things are how the school will go to the movies, Great Adventure, & the beach in the summer, as a group! Additionally, they will have parents nights where the kids come in for a few hours on a Friday for FUN, always w/​the back drop of their karate, self defense, respect, & wellness lessons. My son has been attending for two years & he loves it, all while greatly benefitting from it too.
