Power crew installed my new roof in one day. They worked skillfully all day with only a lunch break. They were very polite and knowledgable. The entire days process was painless. The quality of workmanship was worth the price. All installs from Power have a 50 year non prorated warranty. I would like to add that the sales department in this company has been trained by American car dealers from the 80’s. High pressure and extremists. If you want to use this companies high skilled craftsmen please be aware of their sales technique. Know your price and value. Know that there are many people inside the price. And their dumpster company left a huge mark/scar in my driveway. Waiting for power to repair. Power told me I will get a call from cartage company. Really?

The exact same thing happened to us as cited in Alison C’s review as far as the sales pitch. I wish I had searched for them on Unilocal first! My husband and I were both requested to be available, which was fine as we both wanted to hear what our sales rep had to say. So we requested a time slot of 7pm on a Friday night. Needless to say, our rep spent 3.5HOURS reviewing the material. While he was very nice, our Friday night was killed and I am not happy that the estimate took as long as it did. To be fair, the product seemed to be a quality product, although this was our first quote. We’re going to see what a few other contractors have to advise. However, I’d still contend the amount of time for the pitch and the total cost seemed like a waste of our time and was an annoying imposition on our Friday night. At least with time share pitches you get free tickets to a show or a free dinner! **Update** After talking with several other contractors, most of our quotes with equal quality materials were less than half of the quote from Power Home Remodeling. We will never consider using them.

My husband and I are realistic people and realize we will need to replace our roof within the next year. We had wanted to get an estimate in order to start saving for this costly project we would embarking on in the near future. When my husband was at BJs he was approached by PowerHRG and they offered to come to our house for a free estimate for our roof and replacing two of our windows. I did not want much to do with this adventure, as this is usually my husbands domain and I trust the decisions he makes when it comes to home improvements, however, when the salesperson had been in contact with my husband he had asked to make it during a time that we would both be available… the alarm bells should have been going off then! My husband made it for a time when he new I would be home for work, however, I had work to finish for the next day and again wanted my husband to take lead. When the salesperson showed up at our doorstep an hour late for the quick estimate I made my appearance for a bit and left to go back to my work. After my husband had taken the salesman around our house to inspect what needed to be done the salesman asked me to join them in the kitchen to review everything. I begrudgingly complied while I was secretly cringing because it was already 9pm and I still had my work to complete. So to make a long story short, the quick free estimate we thought we were getting was actually a four hour sales pitch. Needless to say, I was impressed with the quality of the products this company has to offer and it seems like their warranties for all their products are an incredible deal and their prices seemed just right. The salesman came with a whole presentation demonstrating how the windows and shingles are made, lets us see and feel the actual products, and displayed how it saves energy using a heated lamp. He even presented us with a powerpoint basically on why we should use the company. It was nicely done and the salesman was very nice, but our free estimate felt more like we were invited to a surprise direct sales party and that night I was in no mood for a direct sales party. Therefore, at 11pm when the salesperson was still in my home trying to coax my husband into purchasing a roof with him that night I was in utter disgust and didn’t even want to think about giving this company our business. Now that I was settled down and thinking about all the pros and cons I would say they are still a contender for our roof replacing adventure. I just wish we had known this was going to be more of a sales pitch then an estimate before having the salesman come at 7pm at night. I also wish they could have condensed a lot of their info… I wanted to know how much they were going to charge me and not what Lowes or other companies around the areas will charge me. If we do go ahead and use them I will be back to report our experience. In the meantime, beware before you agree to invite them over for a free estimate and be prepared to give them four hours of your time.
