Had my car towed after accident. L&C wanted to buy my salvage vehicle and low-balled me. When I told them I was selling to a friend, they raised their offer, but I didn’t like them so no sale. Then they wouldn’t release the car until they had the insurance check in hand, figuring it was a good way to make more money by keeping the car impounded. Insurance offered to email a copy of the check, I offered to give a check or CC as deposit to no avail. Just a scam.
