Edison Quik Shop

You cannot find a better lunch or breakfast Quick Deli, anywhere. The couple owning this deli are the loveliest, nicest, warmest, most gracious people you ever will encounter. It’s their hospitality which makes us feel good about walking in the door.
It’s the freshness, crispness of the salad, lettuce, tomatoes which makes their subs or sandwiches stand out. They get our order right, every time. The sandwiches are excellent. There’s something just a little more expensive about what they are buying that must make their quality better.
The bread is not soft, pappy, pasty dough, but bread with a real texture and flavor. No one spends the money on good bread any longer. We appreciate their bread. We are pleased to recommend Edison Quik Shop. And, being a small home-​town couple, they earn and deserve our patronage.

I’m absolutely floored I’m the first person writing a review about this place. Like many of you who probably live in the Edison area, I’ve driven by the «Breakfast & Lunch All Day» sign for years; never a thought to go in (never looked open). That was a mistake.
This is a mom and pop shop that closes at 3:30 every day. John and Joan were great and you can tell they take pride in their business. I had a Hot Pastrami Reuben (pastrami, coleslaw, Russian, Swiss on rye) and it was delicious. Unlike most delis who put on tons of meat to make up for lack of flavor, the proportions here were perfect. Nothing felt overpowered and each flavor stacked up on its own. The prices are definitely reasonable. Only paid $ 7.50 for my sandwich with water.
I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend.
