Advance Micro Distribution Channels

It’s so nice to meet an honest businessperson. I had an issue with my old Macbook Pro, and the Apple Store couldn’t help me. So they referred me to this place, saying he could open up my laptop and diagnose the issue. A simple hard drive problem, I could fix no problem. But the Apple Store guy said he didn’t think that was the issue. So I begrudgingly called up this place.
I spoke with Alan on the phone, and he told me I could drop the computer off and he’d take a look. He was very nice and helpful, not at all what I was expecting. I dropped the computer off on a Friday afternoon, so he told me he’d get back to me on Monday. So I was surprised to hear from him later that day, telling me he figured out the problem and quoting me a price. Talk about low pressure, he gave me the quote and when I was surprised about the price, he told me to think about it and call him in the morning.
I asked a couple people their opinion and it all came to — well this is a problem you can fix for a fraction of the price, why would you pay someone else to do it? So I called him back on Saturday and told him no thank you. He told me I could come pick it up that day, or on Monday. So I drove out to get it back (mainly so I could take out the hard drive and order a new one), not realizing he wasn’t even open! He was just in the shop, doing work, and let me stop by to pick up the computer.
I ALSO didn’t realize the diagnosis was going to be free of charge.
This place is great. Seriously. I will be here for everything from now on.

Where to start with this review, but to give praise where praise is due after a few misunderstandings and job well done with a happy end to a story. To cut to the chase I had AMDC work on my iMac to perform a free analysis (which they offer) to diagnose computer issues. I initially left unsatisfied, but Alan (the owner) went out of his way to meet with me to discuss the work and and have my computer fixed above and beyond my expectations. Alan takes a lot of pride in his company and making sure his clients are satisfied, he’s also very upfront and honest. He also works weekends when other staff are not around and in the end runs a successful business where customers are treated fairly and properly. I work in another realm of technology myself and deal with customers all the time managing relationships, it’s not easy making everyone happy but in this case AMDC did the right thing and earned a customer as well as a great job fixing my computer. I now have a 2008 iMac that runs like a 2015 iMac. I suggest you give them a chance 1^st rather than going to alternate Apple/​Microsoft service centers as you should get fantastic service from AMDC and I would recommend them to anyone.

My MacBook Pro had been buzzing uncontrollably for about 2 months. The Apple store told me I would have to send in my laptop and wait 2 weeks.
Then I found out about AMDC.
I called Alan on the phone and he told me to come to the store and he would take a look. Right when I arrived, Kim said that she could tell it was a problem with the computer’s fan (after only hearing the noise from a distance for about 10 seconds!). Alan told me that he would order the part right away and call me the next day — hopefully at around 10 am — when the fan arrived.
The next morning, at 9:57, my phone rang with Alan delivering the good news. I drove over to the store, where Kim and Alan replaced my fan and cleaned my computer. The entire process took about 20 minutes. I am typing this review on a completely buzz-​free computer.
Whereas Apple wanted me to waste 2 weeks of my life by sending in my laptop, Alan was able to help me out in under a half hour. The service I experienced at AMDC was truly amazing — I really felt like Alan and his staff genuinely wanted to help me out and get me my Mac back ASAP. He even told me that he «loves delivering good news,» as was proven by his prompt phone call at 9:57 am telling me that the part had arrived.
I have never had such a clean and smooth experience with ANYTHING technology related — whether it is a TV, laptop, cell phone, or whatever, the ‘fixing it’ phase always takes far too long and with far too much stress. This fix was as clean as a whistle, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with AMDC.

My Review of the experience at Advanced Micro Distribution Channels.
My MacBook Pro was in great need of an Upgrade and Cleaning. I took the apple store to see what I anything could be done. The answer from Apple was that nothing could be done at their site but the would recommend a qualified and authorized company in the area that would address all my questions and concerns.
The name of the company was Advanced Micro Distribution Channels. I walked in the next day and met with Alan B. I explained my problems, which he seemed to understand immediately. He then took the time to explain every aspect of how he would get to the correct diagnostic answer to my questions. He also explained that after the diagnostic was complete he would call and give the results and all possible solutions to correct the issues that were causing the problems.
Alan explained that it would be three day to get back to me with all the information.
He returned the call with the information in ONE DAY. This included the identification of the problems and the prices to repair the situations.
He also informed me he would need three days to get it all together. MY COMPUTER WAS READY IN TWO DAYS.
During that time they needed addition information regarding the use of the computer and programs that I had installed and used on a daily basis. Kim who, works in the office contacted me via phone. The professional and courtesy during these phone call was a pleasure. She had all the questions ready and waited very patiently for me to dig out the answers.
The results were simple astounding.
All the work I had asked for was completed perfectly. The computer is now functioning like the day I first bought it. And all the work was completed one day earlier than promised! An amazing experience with this Company and staff. I have now already recommended them to two associates and will continue to do so. Knowledgeable staff, fair pricing, and delivery of services as promised or before promised make this a truly one of a kind experience. I will return there if anything else should come up.
(But right now my system is working like new again)

Excellent place to have computer repaired — I couldn’t be happier. Alan is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and honest.
I brought my macbook to the store two years ago when my hard drive suddenly died and had to be replaced. They immediately fit me in, were able to backup and recover all of my data, and replaced it with an even better part at a very affordable rate. They even delivered the computer back to me when it was done. I was really impressed with their professionalism.
Then recently I was having a different problem with my computer and I brought it in again. Alan gave me a very honest opinion and was very clearly knowledgeable in what was going on. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for all things related to computer repair.

If you need an honest, reliable, & knowledgeable service, STAY AWAY!!! from this place. Be warned if you do not wish to be mislead or taken advantage of do not contact Advance Micro Distribution Channels. Kim & Alan are very rude, unprofessional & will try to take advantage of customers who are not so computer savvy like myself. They made promises they could not deliver on & then on top of it try to charge on the very top of the cost scale & when they realized they could not deliver on there promise, they left me in worst condition then when I first met them. What should have been a simple conversion from a window based program Quick Books to be exact to a Mac application turned out to be a nightmare with Kim & Alan at Advance Micro Distribution Channels. Believe me when I tell you be warned their is nothing Advanced about this store!!! Truly Pathetic, they should be ashamed of themselves! If I could give less than 1 star I would REALLY I would
