Awsome place friendly people no charge for the fights different varieties of beer and alcohol and food is great too

This place is awesome! Great burgers (I have had them all, but recommend the Lamb burger), great beer selection, and we love the atmosphere.

Various beers on draft, I love their Texas Tuesday special, where the Texas brewed ale drinks are 4 dollars. (Super B, El Chingon, etc) The burgers are pretty good as well, just a little bit on the small side. This is Texas, we need to go big or go home here.

WOW! Love, love, love this place. The menu is limited to burgers and salads. If you’re looking for a gourmet burger, look no further. The side is extra but reasonably priced. I got the beer battered onion rings with my burger and was only charged $ 1.50. I ordered a Hornito’s margarita and was only charged $ 5. Very reasonably priced. Love this place. I’m in this area on business. Coming back to Edinburg in 2 weeks. I’ll be back. Did I mention the staff is amazing? This place is a gem!
Came back and got the Bucking Bronco without the sauce. Amazing. Hooked on this place.

Good place for a hangout.
Food is all right. Hot for teachers burger is actually spicy (that’s a plus for me)! If you get chicken with the salad, the cost of salad becomes comparable to the cost of burgers. The salad itself is filling. Shakes and fries are all right. I liked the sweet potato fries more than regular fries. Peach and berry bruiser drinks are good. Check the happy hours for best $.

One of my favorite places, love the atmosphere and crowd. Best selection of beer in south Texas, food is good too. Staff knowledgeable on the beers and are eager to serve.

Amazing burgers, onion rings, and setting. Beer is ice cold. Personally I like the bucking bronco and onion ring pairing. Staff is always very attentive on every visit. Perfect patio setting for a nice afternoon.

I came in on a weekday, for lunch. The burgers are expensive, but worth the gourmet price (My Hot for Teacher burger was $ 9.95 and French fries were $ 1.50 more). It was the messiest burger I’ve ever had, and I enjoyed every second of it. I’ll probably be ordering it again. The watermelon margarita was pretty tasty, as well. They seem to have a wide selection of beer on tap, so beer enthusiasts rejoice! I’m not a beer drinker tho, so if you want more info on that, you’re gonna have to check it out yourself. All in all, it’s a really cool spot.

For quite some time now I had been hearing so many good things of this place, so I finally took the time to try it out for myself and it certainly lived up to the hype! The staff were friendly and provided good service. The joint has a nice bar and outside patio area. And the food is great! I ordered a burger with a side of fries and onion rings, and oh man it’s definitely one of the better burgers I’ve had, their fries are killer too! I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Large selection of ale, beers, lagers, stouts, IPAs and and things under the sun, had a black bean vegan burger that was absolutely yummy. Fun patio with assorted bar games to play with nice décor ambiance and aesthetic. I wasn’t expecting nice of a experience as it was

Their are so many things I love about this place I don’t even know where to start! I guess I’ll start by saying the the drinks are AMAZING! If you’re looking for something sweet and refreshing and hella strong like I do, try the moontang or theirs one that’s strawberry, I can’t remember the name but it’s like a drink of heaven (: by boyfriend is more into the dark beers and ipa’s which they have lots of as well. As for the atmosphere, it’s so laid back, yet, not and horribly over crowded like game house, but still have that same choice to play games or pool. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends that come into town after being away, it’s always a hit! Oh and you can bring dogs also AND watch ufc matches for free

Come here quite often with my husband. It’s a great place to get beer and good food.
They have a pretty extensive beer list. There’s something for almost everyone. The back patio is great for mild nights or if you’re looking to get away from the fans cheering on their favorite sports team on one of their many tv’s.
I always found the service to be quite friendly. My husband always gets the lamb burger and I get the mussels. I have to say, for a beer joint that caters to the college crowd, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the mussels. The sauce they come in has parmesan cheese and what I’m just guessing is garlic and a splash of white wine maybe. It’s a very satisfying full flavored dish and if you’re looking to cut carbs, it’s definitely a must try.
Overall, I would recommend University Draft House to anyone coming to visit or new to town.

Food still good. Music was really bad and too loud yesterday (Wednesday). Drinks are inconsistent in taste and food and drinks were slow to come out.

So, this place is pretty great because it is the only one of its kind in the city. There isn’t another draft house that I know of where family and college students intermingle. It reminds me of places in Houston that I frequent, though there menu is very limited. It’s very much a burger and beer style eatery with three salad choices. The burgers have varied protein options from angus beef to seared tuna. I’ve been a half dozen times and tried something new each time, my favorite has to be the grilled chicken burger with Granny Smith apples. Fries are prepared normally with Parmesan and truffle oil, just ask for regular fries if the Parmesan/​truffle combo isn’t your thing.
Service can be a little slow, I’ve been before and have gotten my food right away. The last two times that I’ve been, I’ve had to wait 30 – 40 minutes for my entrée sans appetizers! Some of the wait staff is very knowledgeable of the drink menu and the beer selections. Others, however, are not. I had a waitress ask me what a «Gentleman Jack» contained (FYI, Gentleman Jack is a (longer) aged Jack Daniels Selection not a drink order).
After 9, a younger crowd definitely overtakes the building and smoking is prevalent in the patio area which is sad because the patio is so lovely. I’ve seen some very drunk individuals ambling around the restaurant before 9 which is fine for a draft house but this is definitely sold as a «family friendly» restaurant during the earlier hours.

Great place for hangouts and drinking. I have meetings here with our staff every now and then and enjoy it alot. Burgers are ok… not the best, but has creative flavor combination… and fries are Extra fyi. But I normally ask the head chef for something special and he always come through.

Great place to have delicious drinks! They have plenty of big screen tvs, drink options. Their gourmet options for food surpasses the typical bar food stereotype. A chill place to hang out and enjoy time with friends

I really enjoy going to this place! Really good food and nice bartenders each time I have been here! I’m so happy this is my official «neighborhood» bar! Good food, good beer! I’m more of a sea-​foodie than a burger person… but they have it all! Good place to watch games as well!

Just like hop doddies if you”ve been to Austin. Burgers are juicy and delicious! I’m in love with the waitress named Michelle ;p! However I paid $ 7 for a beer watch out ask for a menu (was in bottle not in draft). Paid $ 12 for burger/​fries.
Overall great burgers/​fries but check the beer menu first you might hit a landmine!

I’ll start by saying our waitress Gio was absolutely great! Her beer knowledge was next level and she was familiar with all the menu items.
Onion rings are HUGE and cooked just right so you can bite through them instead of pulling the whole onion out of the batter. The ranch that accompanies them is stellar as well.
Burger was big, juicy and flavorful, not some skinny mashed down flapjack. All the toppings worked well and were fresh. Bacon was thick and crispy just the way Daddy likes.

I am stunned that this place exists in a small town like Edinburg. The University Draft House is amazing. The food is fan frickin tastic; ambiance is crazy good; and the service is personal.
On my first visit I had the special which was the prime ribs sandwich with fries. It was a home run! So I ordered one of desert — chocolate abuelita shake.
Within 24 hours I was craving to know what else I could eat there. I am back and enjoying a draft beer with a flounder cilantro sandwich and truffle Parmesan aioli french fries … Almost heaven!
Last time I was here the chef introduced himself and asked what I thought. Perhaps this time I will order a different shake for desert — peanut butter chipotle anyone?
The University Draft House is a slice of local heaven. Go. Now. Go.
