This restaurant has NOT changed and no one should eat there or go for Happy Hour!

The service was very poor. The manager Fernando was very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. The food is very mediocre. I had a filet minion And it was way overdone and dry. I asked for rare.

Last minute reservations. Seated within 3 – 4 minutes. Service was quick. Had them make my bar drink using a different fruit and change in a few ingredients. Drink was excellent and arrived quickly. Restaurant was quiet and lights low. Food arrived promptly. Steak and lobster were good although steak was a little chewy. Husband had tilapia and it was also good. Nothing was exceptional but the meal was good met our expectations.

Freshest seafood I’ve found in the area. Amazing service and atmosphere. I personally enjoy their happy hour the most. $ 5 cheeseburger and fries?! Enough said.

I’ll make this short and sweet: Skip restaurants attached to a hotel, and venture out elsewhere. Unfortunately even larger names(such as McCormick & Schmick’s) don’t stand a chance. There’s something about being attached to a hotel that somehow knocks restaurants down a notch. Now don’t get me wrong — there are exceptions. But, this was not one. My boss and I were at the Westin for business, and stepped over to grab breakfast. The restaurant was nearly empty, but you wouldn’t have known it from the service. Our server was aloof, and seemed caught off guard even with simple requests(fruit instead of hash browns). The food was great, it really was, but the service wasn’t anything you’d expect at a normal M&S’s, nor was the attendance. If service is bad enough to ruin my experience I say: Skip it and go elsewhere — or better yet — order room service.

This was a good«dining experience» restaurant. We went for my birthday as a date, I had stuffed salmon, my husband had the rainbow trout. Both dishes were very good, his in particular was excellent and he is not a fish guy. :) I eat salmon a lot and the stuffed salmon was a good take on a pretty common dish. Green beans were crisp. The butternut squash orzo was very tasty. The walnut mixed green salad was great, crab corn chowder was also very good, lots of crab. Ambience was fancier as expected. Service was a little slower paced but not ridiculously so. But it bothers me when my server shows up every two minutes. That said there weren’t many people there(Sunday night) so hard to say what might have happened had the floor been crowded. Very good experience for a date night celebration dinner.

I come here after work because it’s close by and I love their seafood and especially their Happy Hour… great burger for $ 5! Wednesday is their Shrimp & Shuck– all the oysters and shrimp you want for $ 1 each! I wish they had a little more expansive beer selection, but overall, a nice place to stop by for a quick snack & a few beers. The dinner in the restaurant is also above par– delicious, fresh fish & seafood that has so far been excellent. Great staff too!

We took our mom here for birthday lunch. Was greeted and offered lovely private booth(or choice of table) Then, we had Lois(who was awesome) for our server. The bus person was great too — think his name was Sergio? We received menus that were customized for my mom with Happy Birthday and her name The food was good They provided my mom with a complimentary dessert for her birthday It was busy but not overly busy, so we were able to take a leisurely lunch and enjoy our time together – didn’t feel rushed Thank you McCormick and Schmick for taking some extra steps to make sure my mom had a good birthday

We hosted a birthday dinner for a good friend. The restaurant is beautiful. The location in Edina is convenient. The food was excellent but the service was TERRIBLE! I am intentionally«shouting» because it was so bad. Our waitress(sporting a dreadlock-like tail) brought our drinks and then returned every 3 minutes for the better part of an hour to take our dinner order. We explained that we just wanted to visit for a while. We ordered the crab tower appetizer to share and she failed to tell us it is not really designed to share. She might’ve even forgotten to bring bread or crackers to accompany the crab tower. Not sure. It was tasty, but… After we ordered, the busboy brought the wrong soup and salad to our table. We explained that we had ordered two chop salads and a cup of clam chowder and he just kept repeating, lobster bisque, Caesar salad? We kept saying no. Finally, he took the food away and the table to our left said it was their food. The entrees were delicious except for the sea bass – our friend left ¾ on her plate because of a peculiar taste. She refused to tell the waitress. However, having worked in a restaurant as a waiter, I know you are paid to observe and to ask questions of the guests. Especially in an expensive restaurant! When the dinner ended, She brought the bill and started her sales pitch about joining some frequent guest program. Had she paid attention, she would realized that we did not want to be frequent guests! I paid the bill using discount cards from Costco(a positive). Before leaving, I wanted to make certain that the waitress could convert the remaining balance of the discount card to her tip. Well, she disappeared and didn’t come back into the dining-room for over 30 – 45 minutes. She was surprised that we had waited for her. I tried to catch the attention of other servers during the 30 minutes but absolutely no one looked in our direction. They were too busy vacuuming. REALLY??? Vacuuming while the dining-room has guests eating and talking – very TACKY! Frankly speaking, I would FIRE most of the servers. On a related note, We arrived during a rain storm and we’re thankful for covered parking. However, the parking garage has no signage telling you that there is an underground passage way to the hotel. So, we got wet… very wet. REALLY??? A Westin Hotel and expensive restaurant and no signs directing them to the passage way. I am sad to say that I will not be going back anytime soon. I do hope the managers and owners pay attention to the reviews.

This place is a mess! We went to happy hour after a little research. Drinks and apps sounded good. Getting a table was a challenge — when we arrived, the hostess said she could probably seat us on the patio but wasn’t sure. Only a small number of tables are apparently available if you want to order from the happy hour menu. There were tons of other empty tables, which the hostess admitted were not reserved, but she wouldn’t seat us there. She went to scope out the happy hour tables(as if she had never seen them before). All told, we waited on the sidewalk a good 25 minutes(and had to ask to see the manager) to even get seated. We were finally accommodated. In short, the drinks were really really bad and the service was a disaster. Made our fun happy hour super unfun.

Celebrating our 38 th anniversary, made reservations, week night, restaurant about half full. We were 3 seated at booth set for two, had to beg for another place setting. Waiter was not just slow he was incredibly rude. I understand busy but he worked at being rude. We should have walked out, we considered asking for a chsnge but no management was ever apparent to ask for a different wait or. Ordered drinks, then a shrimp cocktail. Five minutes later we were informed that no shrimp were available. Shrimp cocktail is my husbands favorite, so that was a big downer. Asked for more bread and waiter threw it in front of me. Entrees arrived halfway through salad, nothing removed from table unless we asked. Scallops were cold, one entrée was wrong item, so no dinner for one of us until right one prepared with no real apology. Rudeness fro start to finish made it a very uncomfortable evening. What should ha e been a celebration wasn’t. A splurge dinner for us, at one point I looked out window and thought we’d have been better off to go to Cheesecake Factory a cross the street! At least staff is competent.

I wish I could give this review three and a half stars. Some of the things are definitely hit and miss, and with the prices there I have higher expectations. The steamed mussels and coconut shrimp we had for appetizers were really tasty. I was surprised to see some asian inspired dishes, as I thought this place was just like this traditional restaurant of fish and steak, an old people hot spot. I had the bbq asian shrimp, which was pretty heavy and rich but otherwise pretty good. My mom had the swordfish which she said was too salty and overcooked, a shame considering it was $ 50. My dad enjoyed his salmon quite a bit. Overall a pretty solid meal. Despite all of this, the service was amazing! We had the cutest Vietnamese server who was very sweet. I asked for extra rice with my order and it came with plenty extra rice. We had the $ 50 coupon for my dad’s birthday, so they threw in some complimentary ice cream on chocolate molten cake which was really good. She definitely made our experience enjoyable and always asked us if everything was okay.

The food itself a total disapointment. Over priced for frozen seafood, it should be fresh. Small portions were almost laughable! Food was cold to boot. Won’t be back. Feel bad for our server, she was awesome.

love seafood. I am a member of their card program… Eat these places often. This place had me hooked the first moment I stepped in Very high class. Very beautiful wood work. I love this feeling. The table was quick and the hostess was nice. After being seated the server took a few minutes to greet us. Then after greeting us and getting our drink order, he took a few more minutes to get us water. Fine no big deal… He was pleasant throughout the service. The food cane out quickly and we refilled the bread 3 or 4 times… Yes we are those people. But it was delicious! We order the lobster mashed potatoes… Delicious flavor. Just the right amount of salt. Only thing I can say that makes this a 2 star night was there was inedible cord from the lobster in the mashed potatoes. It broke part of my filling when i bit down. So … Now i have to go to the dentist and get that fixed… That was a bummer. I truly wish the prep cooks were more careful of what they put in the food. I did not complain because … Well … No one likes complainers and I have Unilocal to give an honest feedback. I want to go back but am a bit concerned with the inedible food parts mixed in with the food!

This is a review JUST for the bar! My co-workers and I came here for happy hour since we had days long of meetings at the Westin hotel. This restaurant is connected to the hotel. This place gets packed all throughout the evening and night! The drinks were fine, but this review is really for our waitress. I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome! She was very nice and courteous. Came by several times to make sure we are good. She’s a pro at this! We came back few hours later after we finished dinner, and she remembered us. She even remembered all our drinks. There was 5 of us and she remembered exactly what we ordered. That is amazing! I obviously ordered the same drink so she knew that. good memory and great customer service.

We had a $ 50 credit to use that was expiring soon so we went here for date night. We split the filet and stuffed shrimp with green beans, and split a chicken salad as an appetizer. We also got oysters, and I had a glass of pinot noir. Everything was good, but nothing was over teh top great. Service was good. The free bread they bring out in the beginning was mediocre. The salad that we split was HUGE and they gave us each a chicken breast instead of splitting one– in fact we had to check to make sure it was a split salad like we ordered instead of each a full size one! The stuffed shrimp were delicious. Service was great. Overall a very good dinner.

This place has the BEST Happy Hour… With a flight of drink/food options starting at $ 3.99 to $ 5.99(for food) you can get some of the great McCormick & Schmick’s flavor for almost free. I love the burger… Freshly ground and with a big chunk of cheddar. Also try the calamari and seared tuna… they’re great! If you’re up for the adventure, you should join the Landry’s Club… It will get you discounts/special offers/etc.

Bar staff is great. I come here pretty often since I stay at the hotel and they’re always attentive and nice. Try the kale salad, it isn’t on the menu and some of the staff have no idea what it is. Ask them to ask the manager. It comes with some bacon, apples and beets with a balsamic vinaigrette. Miso seared scallops and pistachio sea bass are my all time favorites so far. The cauliflower mash is great. If you want some rice, I’d suggest the squash orzo. I eat here at least twice a week so I guess they are doing something right.

The food is good at McCormick & Schmick’s, but the reason for this five-star review is mostly due to our server, Luke. I made a reservation to come in on Friday, March 21st, to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were seated and looking over the menu when I noticed they had printed ‘Happy 20th Anniversary’ at the top of the menu for us!(See related picture in one of my 500+ photos) Talk about making us feel special! Luke was our server and he was top-notch. He made excellent recommendations(don’t miss the Swordfish Casino or the Cucumber Gimlet), and told us that he just proposed to his fiancée(she said yes!) earlier that week. I guess I feel that we gave him hope since he’s just starting his journey and that couples can still make it in today’s world. He also told me about the Landry reward club(how did I not know about that?!?), and since I eat at many of their restaurants in Chicago, I signed up. So between the excellent meal, the special occasion cake and outstanding service, Luke helped make our 20th anniversary dinner one to remember! (And if you read this, Luke, good luck to you and your wife!)
