Hajira is a good artist who seems to know what she’s doing. But our experience with a bridal henna was quite unprofessional with subpar work and I don’t think I’d hire her again. She didn’t return multiple calls or messages, even in the week of the wedding. The color was too light. This was even after bringing up that concern in a trial and her saying she’d address it. I brought designs during the trial, which she forgot and didn’t have on hand. The day of the bridal session she was ill, and the backup she arranged had never done bridal henna before. Perhaps it was a lot of bad luck and planning on her part, but she wasn’t apologetic either.

I have gone to Gracious Henna multiple times for body henna art. I have also bought candles decorated with Henna/Mendhi style art from Gracious Henna. I have always walked away feeling beautiful and impressed with the artistry. Haji(owner/artist) is super nice, super flexible, and charges prices that are more than fair. I always get comments on what lovely work she does, and how her henna artistry is a step up from what you typically see. I will definitely be hiring Gracious Henna again. You will not regret patronizing this wonderful small business!

She did an amazing job and is a very skilled henna artist ! She does amazing free hand or is willing to do whatever type of style you wish. She has many books to look through for ideas on exactly what your looking for. The pricing is super fair and depends on the amount of detail and size. She only uses the traditional all natural red henna. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. She does it out of her apartment, she’s very professional. I’m very pleased with my experience.
