Best breakfast burrito in Edina. This place gives Bryant Lake Bowls breakfast burrito a run for it’s money!!! I like that they put the hash browns IN the burrito here. Nice patio but can have a little wait in the summer when it’s nice out. Service is always great, fast friendly and it’s not terribly expensive here and there is street parking or you can park in the bank lot on the weekends with no issues. Family friendly, so bring the kiddos!

I really liked this place. The food was really great, the service left something to be desired. Food alone made it worth the 4 stars though. Let’s break it down… Food — Like I said, the food was amazing. I got the Tuna Melt sandwich with a side of potato soup. It was absolutely mouth watering. The sandwich was perfectly grilled and the tuna and cheese were melted but not to the point where it got greasy, hot and unappealing. The soup came with whimsical gold fish swimming in it and it was delicious! The portion was perfect, I was full but not uncomfortable. Everything about the food at this place screamed 5 star amazing! I will be going back frequently! Service — The service was horrible. First, they sat us in a dark corner that was so dark that it was almost impossible to see my husband sitting across from me. The light over the table wasn’t working and it was just a horrible place to sit and there was lot of other options available. After waiting about 15 minutes a server finally came to take our order. We ordered, he said ok, took our menus and left. Twenty minutes later he came back and wanted to «make sure he got the order right»… when he repeated our order back to us it was completely wrong. He finally got it right and then left again, this time he apparently made it to the kitchen because our food did come out and when it did come it was the correct order. From second order to getting food was approx. another 20 minutes though. After the food came we ate but it took the man forever to come back with our check. Overall the entire process took over an hour and all we ordered were 2 sandwiches and the soup of the day. So, my biggest complaint and the reason for the 4 star rating comes down to the fact that for lunch… I don’t expect it to take over an hour and it wasn’t overly busy so I really saw no excuse. Price — Not much to say here. The price was reasonable for the atmosphere and food type. I felt that I got what I paid for, no complaints. Overall I would go back because the food was amazing but I do hope that in the future I would get better wait staff.

This place is pretty great! Met a friend for breakfast today. Glad we arrived early because as the time passed, the place filled up and the parking got scarce. Wonderful food! My friend had the Americano. Eggs, toast, hashbrowns and bacon. I ordered the Tuscan. Gnocchi, pesto, bacon and mushrooms. Yum. Very similar to my gnocchi breakfast at the Freehouse which was equally as good. We both got toast with some really good jam. Ordered some chilaquiles to take home for J. Charming patio area. I bet it’s even more charming at night with the lights. Excellent service. The bathrooms are kind of oddly placed. I don’t like walking through the food and drink prep areas, but not a biggie. They were clean and fresh smelling. Will return to try out their other menus for lunch and dinner. Breakfast didn’t disappoint.

Great place. Delicious food and good service. All in all a very good place to be if you don’t want to wait too long for your food. Hd the breakfast Americano with the egg whites and chicken. Delicious and good value for the price.

I was a big fan of this place, as my prior reviews show, but something has changed. Unfortunately we were in for Mother’s Day brunch & I left feeling embarrassed for having recommended the place. We were a table of 8 people & the 4 of us drinking coffee were first given just one tiny serving of cream, it was enough for one person, the others had to wait. Finally the server brought us a small teapot of cream, which was odd, but got the job done, I guess they were out of proper dishware? Oh & our coffee was served in ceramic mugs with various Christmas designs, which the server found hilarious, but seemed unorganized to us. Fresh orange juice is no longer an option. Speedy, attentive service is also not something they seem to have anymore… Our experience was a negative one, so much so that I highly doubt we will return at all. I think something has changed at Edina Grill & I’d suggest you go elsewhere.

Came here on my first baby-free night out with my BFFs and was not disappointed. All the Blue Plate restaurants are pretty stellar — good food, good service, good atmosphere, good locations. The Edina Grill is no exception. I’ve had the steak and pierogies at three locations, and it is SOFREAKINGDELICIOUS! There was only a 15 minute wait on a Saturday night. Our server Courtney was perfect. No complaints here!

This place is a hot spot! I have gone here many times and every time the staff has been great! They really treat their customers really well. The food is great! I have had the tacos, fish and chips, and enchiladas. Couldn’t go wrong with any of those!

Oh yuum! We stopped in on a Sunday morning around 9am with a group of five adults plus two kids and were seated immediately — no way! The atmosphere was spacious enough for the kids and cozy enough for us all to talk/hear each other and our waitress was fantastic. The kid placemats came with a container of goldfish and had unique games like a mad libs section and fun graphics for them to color. Looking for something healthy to fit my hankering for unhealthy food, I ordered the breakfast bowl. Oooh baby, don’t let that lame-o name fool you! The black beans were cooked perfectly with a nice hearty flavor to them, the poached egg was perfection, and the salsa was refreshing with just a little fire to it. I only wish there was a second poached egg for added protein, but I assume that this is something I can request on my next visit. Side note: this restaurant is part of the Blue Plate Group, which includes Highland Park Grill and Groveland Tap, two more of my casual food favorites.

I got a burger and fries. I would call it a high quality burger with high quality service. The atmosphere was good for families and having a conversation with friends. I would definitely go back.

Oh man! There was quite a huge wait about 30 – 35 minutes. We were lucky to get a high top in about 10 minutes. For apps, we got the Green chili tots. Oh so flavorful. A mild spice, some cheese, and aoli. I want to recreate this at home. Entrees were the crispy chx sandwich & chilaquiles. My sister tried my food and we decided to just share the chilaquiles which were AMAZING!!! We polished off the chilaquiles and never actually touched the burger but the sweet potato fries(2.75 up charge!) were very good. We then got the very hot bread pudding to polish off our meal. So why the 4⁄5 stars? Our waitress, we never got her name, was incredibly impatient with us. I had to ask for a refill for my coffee, I had to remind her that we needed silverware(she had cleared the empty app platter with our forks), she actually brought the check after she boxes the burger without asking if we wanted dessert. We had to ask for dessert. For someone who was so impatient, we had to wait another 10 minutes for her to actually run the payment for the check. Ugh. Incredibly disappointed in the service but will return because the food is delicious!

Love going here. Super family friendly without being cheesy. Our waitress Meg H was awesome. She was super busy but gave us attention and got us our food quickly, and checked on us a bunch. Most definitely going back again.

If you are ever looking for the following: –Premade hamburgers that make McDonalds look like a hipster gastropub. –Drummies that were premade and then subsequently microwaved so that the temperature was inconsistent throughout the food. –A waitress who doesn’t come and check on you to see if you’re enjoying your food and simply asks if «we need boxes» when she sees that we have barely touched said burgers listed above. If all of these criteria(and more) are what you seek in a restaurant, head on over to Edina Grill, where the 1998 Red Lobster décor and service will make you wonder how this place ever got 4 stars to begin with.

A great go to place for comfort food! Every time we’ve come here we have not been disappointed. Firstly the hosts are not the friendliest or attentive and since they are the first person you encounter when you enter the establishment, you may assume that your service may be like that as well. Wrong, the waitresses and waiters are nothing like the hosts — they are friendly, SUPER efficient and accommodating. Portions are super appropriate, if not more for the decent price. I recommend the Chicken Pot Pie(quite large) and the Friday Night Lobster Bisque! By the way the Ciabatta Garlic Break is phenomenal and life changing. Best garlic bread I’ve had. Definitely a casual spot, not a fan of the lighting in here, its way too dark. I recommend dinner over brunch here!

This place gets 4 stars for its breakfast dish potato gnocchi — outstanding and worth every only but be prepared for food coma afterwards. The salmon scramble was mediocre and overly salty. I asked for egg whites only and was charged $ 1.75 extra! Ridiculous.

Normally this place has great food and service, tonight though was a completely different story. Our evening started wonderfully, we sit down and have our drink order taken; we browse through the menu and decide that we are both going to try something new and different, so we went with the Peters Burger and and also ordered an appetizer. It was after we ordered that everything started to go downhill: we sat for around 20 minutes, wondering why it was taking so long for our appetizer to arrive(it was a pretzel, nothing spectacular). It was then we spotted out of the corner of our eyes a man carrying out pretzels(oh boy were we excited), he set them down and immediately following was our entrée; I mean really, who brings out everything together, at once. I honestly felt so overwhelmed in food that I didn’t know what was going on. The pretzel was fantastic! It was warm, the cheese and mustard dipping sauces were delicious, and it wasn’t over salted(which makes me exceedingly happy). The entrees were AWFUL; the meat was cold, the bread was soggy, and the fries were mediocre at best. We tried flagging down one of six waiters in a nearly empty restaurant, but alas nobody noticed us. So, we asked the hostess for a little help and she tried her best, but nothing came of it. At this point I was tired and wanted to go home, so we finished burgers and got the heck out of there. It’s been a while since we have eaten there, but we had fond memories of it being absolutely delicious(and other blue plate group restaurants are amazing). This was just a bad night I suppose, but it made a lasting impression. So the age old question, will we be back? I won’t make a special trip for it, but if a friend wanted to go, I would give it another shot.

Its was fine. Just an awkward meal for us. Tiny table in the middle of all service foot traffic. Peters burger tastes great. Other burgers were unremarkable. The best items were the pretzel bun and the sauce for the fries. Heads up, the fries are not salted when they come to you. Mediocre fries. All in all this place goes on my utility food list, not my EagerExcitedtoEatHereAdventure list.

Settling on 4 stars. I ordered the kimchi and shrimp breakfast stir fry because it had all the components of happiness: Sunny eggs, veggies, shrimp, and kimchi. Sounds legit, right? It came out pretty too. But it was extremely greasy and oily. There was a puddle. I was turned off and couldn’t finish. They offered to make me something else, but I was in a hurry and couldn’t wait for more food. So they comped it and gave me a free $ 10 card. Great service. They also said it was being taken off the menu the next day, so I guess this item was a dud. I will definitely be back to get other things.

Wonderful meal. Nice selections. My brunch meal was outstanding. If I lived close, I would be a regular. Nice outdoor seating. Food came out quick, hot, and correct. All employees were hustling.
