Whole Foods Market is pretty amazing… Especially the one in Edgewater! I use to visit this WFM at least three — four times a week when living in the area but still visit while I’m in town… Service: A+(All of their employees provide great service and over the years I’ve even made several friends) Location: A++(With a huge parking lot, theres always parking) Food /Produce:(Always fresh and tasty) I especially recommend their fish & sushi stations! The only reason for 4 stars over 5 is due to their recent increase in their products. I fully understand that you pay for what you get but with farmers markets & competition carrying similar or the same products for significantly less, I can’t understand why WFM hasn’t changed their pricing.

They no longer have a Jamba Juice at this location. They replaced it with a «Juice + smoothie» bar instead, and it’s awful. There’s only one good smoothie and that’s the one called«Strawberry Beets.» Yes, it’s «Whole Foods,» which is synonymous with over priced groceries, however it’s a crime to pay 7 dollars and change for a 16 oz carrot juice. Honestly, if you want a smoothie, go to Red Mango; it’s a little further down, however it’s better, and it’s cheaper.

My experience was terrible. A friend and i visited the new juice bar that took over jamba juice. We had high hopes and were excited to try it. The rude woman behind the counter, Pilar, was not only slow but also giving a ton of attitude. She took our drink orders about 10 minutes apart and took another twenty to make them. She stressed upon the fact that we couldn’t change or make our own drink with the same items on the menu due to an allergy that one of us had. Not to mention once we received our drinks mine was basically a solid and my friends was like water. Definitely not worth your time unless you have an extra half hour to stand and wait with no other customers around and drink a terrible smoothie

Generally I like Whole Foods but do to its prices I don’t shop there frequently. This Whole Foods is smaller and more cramped then the Paramus store. There’s nothing bad about this one other than I’m spoiled by the more spacious Paramus store.

What can I say about this grocery store? I’ve shopped here many times and found that the produce and vegetables are amazing regrading it’s quality and consistency. My only issue about whole foods is the price. I understand paying a premium for fresh and organic products but I believe their markup can be a little bit unreasonable sometimes. Please don’t get me wrong I feel this is one of the best grocery stores in the area and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality grocery store. It also should be noted that the staff at this particular whole foods is excellent. I have never had a bad experience when asking for help or their input. The views expressed are of my own and are my true personal experience at this establishment. My personal experience may not reflect this actual establishment, their quality or someone else’s experience at the establishment.

Pretty good selection, size and most importantly not too packed so I can be in and out. Love their fruit meats, and dairy products. Fish is sometimes hit or miss. Has most of what I want, however as another reviewer I still see some items that were expired from time to time particularly in the fridge section in the front next to the produce so keep an eye out. If you noticed it after, bring it back to the store and they will exchange/refund it for you. Staff on floor is very friendly.

Lets get to the bottom line here; if you have to ask or look at the price you can’t afford it. Move on. There is no shame. Whole Foods Market is pricey. VERYPRICEY. Sorry, if I sounded like a snob. I am not. I can’t afford Whole Foods on a regular basis or as my go to supermarket. I go to Whole Foods when the wife and I are entertaining. They have the items that I want my guests to enjoy. Cheese Department: quality and variety. My father in law likes quality cheeses. So we buy a variety of different cheeses. This is the good stuff. I could not name or remember the cheeses we bought, but our guests enjoyed them all. Remember you are not buying Kraft or Cabot cheeses. While they were pricey; I did find some sales of quality cheeses they wanted to move. Produce Department: fresh, clean, maintain and again pricey. Meat Department: as good as any 5 star butcher in the north east. Meats looked fresh, bright, firm and I can’t wait to bbq this summer with some of the thick cuts of quality beef. Bread Department: I would be fired if I worked in this department. I would be having hourly samples. Everything looked delicious. Fresh, fresh and yes fresh. Lots of options and all good. Service: this is where they are head and shoulders above any supermarket or retail business. We needed anchovy paste for Cesar Salad. We could not find anywhere. We asked some college age employee and he looked. He could not find either. So the wife and I just went on our way to continue shopping. About 10 minutes later the guy comes on over with the anchovy paste. Number 1; he had to find the item and 2; he had to find us. We where at the other end of the market. This was customer service at it’s highest. I need to send this review to corporate. Wish I took the employee’s name down. I know people like to trash Whole Foods; for this and that. This is where the 1% shop; blah, blah, blah; but Whole Foods does a very good job with running a high end market. There are plenty of options for my everyday supermarket needs, but I enjoy going here from time to time and enjoying the finer things in life. Sometimes we need to enjoy life with some quality. Food for thought… I enjoy red wine… I don’t drink or buy Groth everyday… but I do buy liters at Costco… drop mic… word…

I’ve made it a thing to stop in every Whole Foods possible. I’m at around a dozen. This one ranks pretty high. The salad bar has a good selection, I love their bakery. The cannolis are a standout and are up there with Rispoli. I’ve had a bunch of cakes over the years and the quality can’t be beat. The new ramen area is also above average although it can take time to be prepared. I’ve always liked their sushi but it can be a little overpriced. Oh and the cheese! Bliss

There’s not a lot of dining options in the area so we often end up here. Our current favorite breakfast: — Get two bagels to bring home to slice and toast.(Seriously, bagels in this area suck.) — Grab some tuna or chicken salad from the salad bar(the prepackaged ones aren’t worth it unless you have 1 – 2 more people). — Slice a tomato, cucumber… spread the aforementioned salad, and add it to the bagel sandwich. — Grab some coffee from the café. Sample cheese if there is any. Jamba also has reasonably priced fresh OJ but it is a pain — you have to get a receipt from Jamba, pay at the register, and then go back to Jamba for them to make it. This sounds easy but can be a slow process even the place is practically empty. Sometimes the OJ machine is broken. Sometimes the Jamba person is MIA.

I love organic and natural produce, but the price range is quite outrageous compared to other supermarkets. I understand that you will have to pay more for organically grown produce, but why is it that this specific chain always has the highest price? I can find the same USDA certified items sold at Trader Joe’s for a lower price, which is located a few blocks down. The non-organic items are also sold at a hefty price… The store sells everything such as pet supplies, organic and non-organic produce, meat, seafood, clothes, cosmetics, skincare, cleaning supplies, and etc. The many themes of this market is natural, holistic, non-toxic, and organic. They have a buffet and Jamba Juice located on the left side of the building from the entrance. You can either take the food to go or eat it at the seating area. If the weather is nice then you could even take your meal outside, sit on a bench, and watch the Hudson River. Friendly Service Good Return Policy Great Parking Lot

Groceries on the Hudson, stop #3. The AMEX black card of food type stores, Whole Foods can be your one stop for a week’s worth of groceries. Organic, healthy(choice dependent), and natural — all at a price. Which is then inflated. Twice. Once you get here(after 400 lights), there is a very nice view of Manhattan, and you can walk right up to the river if you want to take a picture or 12. Parking here can be slow and tight, and the store itself is plagued with slow-shoppers, fruit-touchers, meat-thinkers, cheese-evaluators, bread-philosphers, hot bar loiterers, and overall slow decision makers at the busiest(and not so busy) times of the day. So don’t be in a hurry. Food? Food. I really like Quaker rice cakes. I’m sure they have bad stuff in them, but at 50 calories, any bad stuff can’t be that bad. However, WF does not sell these, and the organic rice cakes WF sells fall apart. Quickly. When I try and spread peanut butter on them, crumble city. I suppose that’s the only down side here(besides the prices)…you likely won’t find many of the brands you are used to. I know this is oddly specific, but i’m sure you will find your version of my «rice cakes» story somewhere. But overall, new brands are good, because 365 makes really tasty stuff, it is good for you(or at least comparatively better than high fructose corn syrup type food), and the price point is reasonable. Some other brands… let’s just say $ 10 for a jar of pasta sauce is kind of a lot. The fish, meat, cheese, prepared food and hot food(and salad) bar can NOT be beat. If I had the means, most of my dinners would come from here. This particular location has a great selection every time I go in, so I try not to come hungry to avoid added, unplanned(cough indian food and naan) food in my cart. Come here for: meat and fish(aim for what’s on sale), select produce(carrots specifically), 365 branded chips, milk, OJ, breads, frozen items, etc., and the oh so delicious hot bar. Avoid heavy items in the weighed sections and surprisingly high priced small brand(unless you have a specific reason for purchasing) items. I can get in and out for $ 100 coming home with a week’s worth of very carefully selected groceries(I definitely plan my recipes while I am there, many of them involve grilling meat with salad) but it is extremely easy to go over. It’s really hard when the whole store SMELLSSOGOODAND I WANTTOGETTHEEVERYTHING.

This Whole Foods sells expired products — the last time I went was the day after July 4th. Of course, there weren’t many hot dogs left but I saw that the batch was all a couple days expired. So how many people ate expired foods? Thankfully no one got food poisoning from it(probably because it was highly bbq-ed/cooked). I bought chocolate here that were 3 months expired — brought them back and got a refund but I think I should give everyone else a fair warning: CHECKTHEEXPIRATIONDATEHERE. I also got fish that when I got home about 15 mins later(I live just up the hill and stopped by to pick up something else), smelt disgusting. Threw it out. I also almost bought mayo that was NEARLY8MONTHSOLD. Are you serious? Are you waiting for a lawsuit to happen to take action? Disgusting but I don’t have another Whole Foods nearby so I will just have to continue being cautious. I also like that they have a Jamba Juice inside with good seating area for hot buffet food, which keeps bringing me back, but I will try to look elsewhere for organic products that are likely fresher and not expired.

The produce is clean, the fish is well attended to and the overall selection is fine. The service at this store needs a major overhaul. Select checkout counters has total rookies who are neither familiar with the products whole foods sell nor are interested in learning about it. Often times you will find wrong items on your checkout receipt. Do not make a mistake of placing any order at this store. They never show the courtesy of responding or calling the customers. The people in ordering the produce are totally unprofessional despite all the promises. The front desk customer service is also unpredictable depending on who you come across. I hope Whole Foods provides some guidance to their stores on the customer service. A lot can be improved at this location with the right focus. The overall location of this store is quite central and convenient.

Great location. There is always an amazing collection fruits and vegatable from across the globe here, heck at every whole foods lol. Service is great here. Store is clean, well organized, and managed well from what I can tell. The worst thing about whole foods is how expensive it is. It just is so overpriced but you live with that cause of the quality and variety. The best thing about this whole food is the location. You get a view of the hudson river, nyc, its literally on the river front.

The bakery at Whole Foods particularly in Edgewater NJ makes the best customized cakes in town all hands down. My family has placed 3 orders within then last 2 months for«Special Occassions» real fruit filled berries(raspberries, blueberries, strawberries emmm). Elegant chocolate script finish on top, Not too sweet, it’s out of this world. Even non sweet tooth eaters wanted a slice and had the most complimenting things to say about this spectacular from Whole Foods. Credit due to(Jill) designer I placed my order with on Friday morning. Keep up the awesome job, our Team truly enjoyed the magnificent cake. They were so helpful carried cake by tray to the customer service desk for me to check out and assisted ensuring cake got to my vehicle securely. Thank you for your kind assistance and friendly staff. I’ll see you next special occasion to place my order.

Love this place. You can get a warm, fresh and healthy meal or buy things to make at home. Great toiletries also! I like the fact they they feature local small business products regularly! This time they had soap! Their granola is a fav of mine. Try all the different combos to find your favorite!!! Picked up some la Croix flavored sparkling water I have been wanting to try!

This Whole Foods is a little smaller than the one off of Route 4, The butcher and seafood sections are comparable to the Route 4 location, and really its not so different in layout and stock, the selection is mostly the same. The cheese section isn’t as vast and this location seems a little less organized than their nearby counterpart. This may have been due to the holiday rush though so I don’t want to be too harsh. In the end, its a Whole Foods, so you knew what you were getting before you walked in.

Whole Foods has it’s perks and it’s down sides. First, it’s pricey. I walked out with a bag full of food that I could barely pick up from another store and paid $ 46. Right after, I walked out of Whole Foods with 4 items and paid $ 50. There are sales and deals. Need to keep an eye out for those — although even on sale, it’s not cheap. Make sure not to go there on a Sunday night. The shelves will be empty. I walked in once and couldn’t even find bread. Great for flowers. Can buy a one bouquet and break it up. Also great for specialty items you won’t easily find anywhere else like ostrich eggs. I like the section where I can get rice and grains by weight. Good value and I can buy just what I need. Overall — eating healthy has a price. If something comes from Whole Foods it doesn’t mean it is always healthy. You still need to read labels and know how to identify bar code of organic items. Enjoy!
