Great store, super customer service. Clean store, good merchandise. I’ve been going to this store since it opened… Friendly, helpful C/S. They bend over backwards to help with orders, returns, etc… This is my #1 grocer.

i was shocked and apauled to witness the manager of the store walk over to a young female employee and grab her rear then tell her to meet him in his office all well within public view and in no way discrete about it. i have been a long time shopper at this location and have noticed that management has always treated its employes subparly butthus took the cake. i will no longer be shoping here, i guess wegmans or harris teater will be getting my money from now on

Definitely experienced better. The produce is hit or miss, the items are not easily found, and the organization is shaky at best. The seafood department can be detected by the nostrils from too far away to be healthy. Otherwise, same Safeway you’re used to. Nothing to write home about, though.

I punched my phone number in so that the computer could recognize my member card account and it was invalid. «The computer is still not recognizing my number after four months,» I said to the clerk, «do you have a member card I could swipe? Mine is on my key chain in the car.» The clerk rolled her eyes and sighed the word«no». “Really?” I asked, exasperated. Luckily the customer behind me swiped her card for me. Then the«unexpected item» warning came up and wouldn’t let me continue. I stood there waiting for about 5 minutes for the clerk to come back(she had left at the exact moment the warning came up). She came and cleared the error and then all but accused me of stealing because seven out of the nine things in the bagging area were not showing up on the register. «What about all these items?» She asked accusingly. Being that I am a military officer I take these kinds of things quite seriously. «You stood there and watched me scanning all of this stuff,» I said as I started rescanning everything. Luckily the customer behind me let me scan her card again because we both knew the store wasn’t going to help. Speaking of stealing. There has been at least half a dozen instances where the price on the shelf says one price and then the register says several dollars more(those are just the times I’ve paid close enough attention who knows how much I’ve missed.)

Here’s the deal with this Safeway: They will advertise sales and then charge you more than the advertised price. If you’re smart enough to catch it, their customer service reps will claim mathematics ignorance to cheat you out of even more money. When you tell them they are doing their math wrong, they get snippy and shove the receipt back in your face and ask you to just tell them how much they owe you. Good times. If you’re a Just4U member, you really have to watch them. I go online before I go to the store, pick my deals and here’s the key: WRITEDOWNTHEPRICES then go shopping. Check your receipt before leaving. You’ll most definitely spend several minutes in line trying to get money back from the customer service desk while they scratch their heads in confusion.
