My Kinder Club

Brought my little guy here for an event that included three hours of play time, which is a steal. My son had a really great time. The owners are personable and I really enjoyed that there was a couch for us parents and the rooms had Windows so I can relax and still be able to see what he was doing. It’s very unique to have that option. Most places are huge and you have to follow your kid in order to see what’s going on. A place for kids with the parent in mind. We will return.

I recently took my son to My Kinder Club on two separate occasions. It is a very good concept, but the execution could use some work. My main concern is the child-​proofing and safety of the facility. They have these odd foam decorations on the walls that I noticed several children pulling down and tearing. Their parents had to be on top of them because those foam pieces are a major choking hazard and they distract many children from being able to play freely. Also, they used scraps from the foam floor mats on the window sills. Again children were tearing these off. They make safety equipment specifically for window sills that would work much better. Also the tables had foam around all the edges that was falling off. I feel like corner protectors would work much better. We went at the opening and I was shocked to find broken toys with sharp edges lying around. I expect things to get broken with children, but those things should have been seen and removed after closing the day before or before opening the day we went. We met two different employees. One was wonderful while the other one made me uncomfortable. She was very chatty and shared information about other families that I think should have been kept private. If they address some of these concerns I think that it has great potential to be a wonderful play area to bring children to, especially to socialize.
