We did a private Sunset tour in August of 2015. The reservation process and communication were simple, they got back to quickly. They were there a little early, so we walked right up to the boat. Capt. Dave and his first mate, (his wife) were both wonderful. We got lots of information, some history, and a little gossip ;) We had perfect weather, and enjoyed some cocktails we had brought along. After we had shown him a picture, Captain Dave suggested we re-​create the picture of our family on another Edgartown Harbor tour 20 years earlier. He helped us up onto the ship’s bow and took the picture himself! We were sad when the ride was over. Alas, we forgot our cooler on the boat, I got a text on the way home that Capt. Dave had found it and dropped it off with the harbormaster before heading home. A memorable experience!

We love going out with Captain Dave and Carol! Great for all ages… We did an adult lunch cruise to Cuttyhunk and a fun day trip with kids that included swimming and paddle boarding. Great way to spend a summer day.

Can’t say enough good things about our sunset tour around Katama Bay and near Cape Poge with Captain Dave!
We had done previous tours with Mad Max and while those were also enjoyable, this was definitely preferred. The trip was more intimate and we learned more than we ever had about the ships, properties, wild and marine life in the bay.
We had age ranges from 5 – 70 in our party and he made it entertaining for all. He really knows how to handle a five-year-old’s multiple requests to «blow the horn!» and a 70 year old’s multiple inquiries about Walter Cronkite’s former property.
It is clear that Captain Dave enjoys what he does. I highly recommend you use him for a tour.
