Food here is great. Service was great as well. When i came to Martha’s Vinyard I heard multiple people recommend this place. I didn’t really know why but of course i had to try it. When you are on vacation you usually don’t really know places around so Unilocal and people are what you rely on for the best food. Atria is located in a very nice area where there is a center and a fudge shop, ice cream, and shops nearby. If you go i would suggest putting some time into exploring the area because it is so nice. You should make reservations, but if you call before their opening time you have to leave a message and we had to call again because they did not get back to us. There is the area in which you enter when you walk in and there is seating downstairs. We sat in the upstairs area but the downstairs area is more casual and has an extra menu with burger options that i have heard are really good. They offer bread but you just have to ask for it and the oil had a taste that was just not the kind you usually have but it was good. The appetizers are pretty good sounding but we only got one. I am glad we only got one because we were 5 people but it was so big that people could share and there was enough to go around for everyone. I did not try it because i do not like potatoes much but others said it was good. The main meals are a good size. I got the surf & turf and i liked the steak. They have pasta and fish and a lot of options but like i said you cant get the burger menu upstairs. I would not say this place is fancy but not casual either. So wearing s nice dress or skirt would probably be my suggestion for girls. Good food, service was good, not too fancy, and a nice area!

After a disappointing dinner during our first night ever in Martha’s Vineyard, we were desperately trying to find another restaurant that would satisfy our desire for the nice East Coast dining experience that we missed since we moved to California. Yes, the comfortable informality that most West Coast restaurants employ may be nice for most, but I really miss places where people actually have to dress up for a fine dining experience. So perhaps ironically, we found Atria. They had no formal dress code, so we came as we are after a walk on Lighthouse Beach, myself in a short-sleeved collared shirt and jeans. We were escorted to the main dining room, which certainly had the flair for any formal occasion. I was relieved to note that at least one other gentleman was also in sneakers. The menu seemed deceivingly simple, and there is no set menu. Our waitress made recommendations, especially confident about the calamari as «the best ever.» Although the boss was skeptical about the boldness of her claim, we went with it, as I am a big calamari fan. We also decided on the pork shoulder and the lobster risotto special, all of which are some of my favorite things. Although I cannot honestly say that any of the dishes were the best I’ve ever had, all the dishes were extremely good. The calamari had the spice that we had not experienced with this appetizer, along with an herb with an Asian oil that gave it an unique great flavor. The lobster risotto was savory and satisfying, with no shortage of lump lobster meat. The pork shoulder was slightly on the tougher side, but it was still easily divisible by fork alone, and the mustard did not overwhelm the dish as I had feared. Again, they were all excellent, but I have been privileged to have eaten some wonderful dishes elsewhere(risotto at Palate in Pittsburgh, and pork shoulder at Sage in Las Vegas). Did I forget about the truffle fries that we got talked into, thanks to other Unilocalers? None of the others mentioned its size, but perhaps none of them ate in the dining room. Otherwise, surely someone would have captured(or at least mentioned) the MOUNTAIN of fries that came on a large side dish. We did save it for later, as suggested by our wonderful waitress. When it was time for dessert, after we wrapped up half of the pork and bulk of the fries(both which we still enjoyed the next morning), we decided to share the molten chocolate cake, which was moist and delicious, with the coffee ice cream on top. On top of already an incredibly good meal, the best part was the bill, which came out to less than $ 135 before gratuity. Especially after spending $ 100+ per person for a less-than-satisfying experience the night before, I was extremely satisfied with Atria as one of the best dining experiences ever. Perhaps not top 5, but definitely top 10. We will be back at Atria the next time we visit Martha’s Vineyard, as if there were any questions about it. The only thing I may change is to ask to sit on one of the patio tables with the fire pit; that seemed like it would be a cool dining experience.

Beyond words! We had the 42ounce bone in steak and it not only fed the table, but left us speechless. Brett the bartender was knowledgeable and deft with his drink execution. Way better than I thought anything on this little island could be!

Myself & a few friends went to Atria’s Brick Cellar for burgers on Sunday night. While the burgers(The PETA, a portobello burger, The Hog, The Classic & Dante’s Inferno) were INSANELY delicious gourmet burgers, the service was atrocious. Three of us sat at the bar while we awaited our other 2 friends,(the cocktails were delicious! I recommend the Sputnik Sweetheart!) and the bartenders were the rudest, most impersonal men I have ever came across. They made the 5 of us feel as if we were a burden. Almost as if they were better than us. Nothing we were doing, deserved the treatment we were given. We didn’t alter any food, we didn’t ask for crazy cocktails, we were pleasant patrons. I have visited this island for the last 12 years, and have lived here for 2 of those 12, and never have I had such terrible service. They must have realized how angry we were at the end of the meal, and probably overheard our comments because their tune clearly changed when it was time to pay. One bartender rolled his eyes so hard at us, that I thought they would fall out of his head. The reason was due to us saving 2 seats next to us for the friends we were awaiting. The other bartender was very bothered when I asked him to remove the truffle fries I was charged for, yet was not served. I am in the restaurant business. I have managed hotels & fine dining restaurants; my standards may be high, but when I go out for dinner where I’m spending my hard earned money, I expect to be treated with kindness, especially when I’m spending $ 60 on a mushroom burger, 1 cocktail & a glass of wine. When we left, the hostess never said goodbye after we said goodbye to her, but a young man upstairs did say goodbye to us & wished us well. I will dine in the restaurant in the future & pray for better service.

This is among my island favorite dinners! I was there at least 10 times over this past summer and the food is amazing. Specifically the wok fried lobster will blow your mind. It’s a seriously tasty new take on lobster. The salads, burgers, truffle fries and the Sputnik sweetheart drink are all fantastic. All the servers we’ve had made the dinner/drinks even better. The cellar bar has a cool more casual vibe and upstairs is a little fancier. Overall this place rocks! Expensive(just like the rest of the island) but well worth it.

Despite some conflicting views from other Unilocalers. Atria Brick Cellar is outstanding. The ambiance is unbeatable. The burgers even better. The payday burger was the best I’ve had in years, topped with foie and slathered with truffle laden mayo. Dessert was again, amazing, try the chocolate lava cake and an espresso, you won’t be sorry.

Fantastic food and delightful waitstaff. A must try while staying on Martha’s Vineyard. Prosciutto wrapped freshly caught striped bass was wonderful. Best calamari I’ve had in a long while. Wok fried lobster is always a strong option. Will be back! Brick Celler burger joint below Atria is also fantastic! Try the Frenchie burger, it’s great!

Major disappointment. My family has been vacationing on MV for many years, and for as long as we can remember, we have loved coming to Atria. Not this time. Earlier in the week, we dined at the burger bar in the basement. It was just ok, not as good as in the past so we decided we would give it another try, this time, outside on the patio. My husband and I had the corn soup with lobster fritters. The soup was like a bowl of watered down milk with a hint of corn. We also had the duck spring rolls which were very mediocre. For our entrees, we both ordered the fish special, local cod wrapped in prosciutto. The fish was overcooked and the dish overall was unappealing. To add insult to injury, the prices are among the highest on the island. The bill came and we paid a whopping $ 230+tip for a below average meal. We won’t be returning to our old favorite anytime soon. Sorry Atria, you’ve lost a loyal customer.

This was my second visit for burgers in the Brick Cellar. First time a year and a half ago was great, possibly the best burger I had ever had. My husband and I came with our son to celebrate his 20th birthday. 4 glasses of wine and 3 burgers…$ 200. The wine a French Sauvignon Blanc was very good, it was a small pour and it was $ 20 a glass. My husband got the classic burger, it was somewhat over cooked and quite dry. He ate about half of it. Our son, got the Dante’s Inferno Burger, he said it was pretty good. David LOVES hot spicy food, he said it had some spice, but was not the HEAT the menu suggested. I got the spicy Thai Shrimp Burger. It was almost inedible. The shrimp was ground so fine it had no texture what so ever and it was so dry that when I cut the burger in half the whole thing fell apart, it was really very unappealing dry and tasteless. So for $ 200 we got 4 small glasses of wine, 1 burger that was pretty good, one that was meh… dry and over cooked and one that was basically inedible. My husband and I where planning on making a reservation to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary in the upstairs restaurant this coming September, I think not. This was really a very expensive disaster.

We are in Edgartown for a week and one of the places we had dinner was here. The ambiance is quiet and minimal elegance. We took our 3 boys 15, 13 and 10. The menu is lovely. My boys had steak for dinner which was excellent. My husband had the Sea Bass and loved it. I had an amazing Angel Hair pasta dish that was delicious. Dessert menu was excellent. Gelato perfect. We had a house down the block so parking was a non issue. It’s expensive but so is everything else here. This restaurant you do get what you pay for.

Love the cellar! It feels like an underground speakeasy complete with great cocktails and killer burgers. You can also order from the menu from the main dining room.

This review is for the brick cellar bar. Overall: Overpriced, weird ambience Ambience: Dark, no windows. There is a loud DJ with a whole DJ box in the middle of the bar/restaurant. There is a disco ball(no joke). When your paying these prices, I don’t really want club music and disco lights. Food: Very good. I would give it 5⁄5. The burger menu downstairs is great. Price: Extremely overpriced. The website prices are inaccurate. A Manhattan is $ 23! They charged us for refills on our sodas, so 4 diet cokes = $ 15. They didn’t even tell us they were charging us extra when they offered us refills, only saw it on the bill. Very cheap and not classy. Service: Nice and pleasant. Not worth the price or setting.

Excellent dining experience. Hubbie forgot formal clothes and neat casual dress was appropriate. Service A. Food and dessert A. I had scallops they were divine. My husband who is a bit of a lobster connessieur was blown away by their lobster specialty dish. Local and seasonal straw rhubarb dessert out of this world. Loved it all. Really splurged and got side of truffle fries– died and gone to heaven! Better than l’etoille, in our opinion.

This review is strictly for my dining experience at the Brick Cellar: As soon as I finished my burger and fries, I wanted to do it over all over again. It is well worth the price tag, for those who think $ 20 – 25 is a lot for a burger. All their meat is ground in house and all the burgers are cooked to a perfect medium-rare. If you want it cooked more, you have to tell them. It’s perfect, I wouldn’t mess with the temperature. I had the Frenchy, which had St. Andres Cheese, Crispy Prosciutto, Arugala and Cabernet Roasted Onions all on the most buttery Brioche. Upgraded to the truffle fries too, of course. Strongly recommended. I love this place and I wish I frequented the Vineyard more often to be able to eat here again, as well as try the restaurant.

Atria is a great restaurant that offers two different settings and menus. On The main floor the restaurant is formal. On the Tavern you have a selection of the most amazing and exquisite burgers on the Island. The good thing about sitting at the Tavern is that you can choose from both menus but the same does not happen if you sit on the main floor. Service is great and so is the atmosphere food is very good. I highly recommend the swordfish with mashed potatoes and the steak.

I am not really sure what all the hype was about. Sure they had really fresh ingridients, great service, nice atmosphere, and okay food. For the price I was paying I was looking for something amazing and breathtakingly good. This is a good place, but if you are looking for a wow meal try something not so old white people country club scene. Try Alchemy, right down the street.

Wonderful food, GIANTPORTIONS! This is an adorable restaurant that is in a house. The owners have a very whimsical approach to their restaurant which is reflected in the menu and signage around the space. We had: Spare Rib appetizer — delicious but huge — it also had too much garnish(it was piled high with chinese like noodles) Caesar salad — delicious and a normal size Scallops — delicious but a huge portion — it had roughly 5 large scallops on a bed of a cauliflower purée with sweet peas. It also had some sort of crunchy noodle on top.(the noodles were unnecessary). Tuna — delicious but enormous. Broccolini with garlic — delicious and a perfect size Parmesan truffle fries — with real truffles, not truffle oil. Delicious and huge(although I didn’t mind…) Vanilla Ice Cream — good Cobbler — good if a bit bland. The service was good. Where this restaurant fell short was the dessert selection, it was basic if not boring. Also, such large portions of high quality food, come at a high price. Give smaller portions(less waste, most people cannot finish such a large plate) and charge less money. The bathrooms were very clean.
