This review is for the Wolf Creek resort. Not, Wolf Mountain(the ski resort). The Wolf Creek resort is a growing community in Eden, UT. It’s comprised of condos, town homes, & single family residences. I’d say that 90% of the living spaces at Wolf Creek are short-term rentals. It’s an enjoyable place to vacation. And it’s a far-more cost effective option, than staying in Park City, UT. I’ve stayed in the townhouses at Moose Hollow, and in an 8 bedroom house at Trapper’s ridge. All of the grounds in Wolf Creek are immaculately kept. And the views of Ogden Valley are breathtaking! Each little community has its own pool. And the Wolf Creek golf course is well-cared for. The homes, themselves, are owned by individuals. You can get information about rentals through VRBO, or property management websites. I’ve had different experiences, at different houses; depending on the owner/property management company. Wolf Creek resort is conveniently located near the only grocery store in the entire area. And it’s close to Pineview Reservoir. Believe me, this is the place to vacation!

I have had my second experience snowboarding there for $ 45 and it has been as awesome as the first one! It is perfect for beginners and families. Weekdays from 1pm to 5pm is great because it is all for you. =) First time I went there, it is true that the snow became ice around 2pm at the very beginners area, but not at the top. People is more friendly and helpful than in Park City or Brighton, and I mean skiers, not the staff. It’s about 45 minutes from SLC and the views in the way are awesome. All the instructors that I have seen there, teach groups of four people max in preiods of 3 – 4 hours, so they really care about your learning, not like in other places that they teach around 10 at once and just for two hours. I really recomend the place when the weather is nice. May be I’m not an expert, but I can say by my experience and after 4 try in other resorts, this is the one were I felt like I could really learn and enjoy at the same time, and I did it!

Horrible experience! Was cheated!!! I always ski at Powder Mountain and the trails are covered in powder all season, the trails are properly marked, the lifts are properly staffed. Wolf Creek was around $ 20 cheaper so I thought, heck, let’s try it… The mountain was built for a blue run skier, not a beginner green run skier like myself. The lift ran very fast and after asking unsuccessfully for the operator to slow it down(a common request), I fell off the lift at exit and I NEVER fall anywhere else. The exit from the lift was close to a 6 foot straight down drop. Not a ramp!!! The mountain faced the sun and was completely covered in groomed ICE. It was like ice scating in RUTS. We went down ONETIME trying to navigate the Green run that was NOTPROPERLYSIGNED!!! The run is a «brown wolf sign» — NOTE this is supposed to be beginner friendly GREEN diamond signed! I ended going down a narrow, icy trail that was along a cliff till I got to an unmarked crossing of a Blue Run. I ended up going down a blue run and having an accident as the trail was so confusing. I then got to a cross trail that WAS a blue diamond run with no sign of any green in sight, icy and rutted. It was like ice skating after people had skated all day and ruined the rink with ruts. Not one ounce of powder! I had to walk down the mountain.(*note: I did ski 4 days at Powder Mountain on Green and Blue runs this trip– I know how to ski). I asked the manager for a refund as I had only one run and most of this was walking down her mountain. She said«I have a dilemma, I can’t refund your money. We have the PREMIER beginner mountain in the Valley.» ** The guys in the rental shop asked why I came back so soon and I said that I had successfully skied Powder Mtn and this mountain was way to brutal for a beginner. They said, «yeah, we know, Powder Mtn is way better.» THISISFROMHERSTAFF!!! She refused my refund. Dishonest, unhelpful staff. BEWARE!!!

Went snowboarding here –very cheep and great for newbies. Only a few lifts, so not a long term repeat destination place. If you need to learn and practice but cannot pay the big resort prices, this is the spot!
