This park area has a really nice splash pad (seriously, why were splash pads not a thing when I was a kid?!), nice new playground, a beach with two swim zones (different depths), and the beach is staffed with lifeguards. I love that there are even outdoor ellipticals next to the playground and rubber padded workout areas should you feel so inclined to strike a yoga pose or drop and crank out some crunches!
I have to drop one star though because, well… there’s a fair amount of bird poo on the beach. And, well… we all know what that leads to… but hey, set up camp with your kiddo a few feet to the left and I’m sure all will be well. A little bacteria does the body good.
