Melissa Mollenhoff’s Mens Haircuts

I almost don’t want to write this review because I don’t want to share. Melissa is an incredibly talented men’s hair stylists. What’s more is that she actually knows about men’s hair the way most salons know about women’s hair. I always thought Great Clips was good enough but I had no idea what a great haircut was until I met her. 5 years later she’s still cutting my hair and we have become very good friends.

Moved to Minneapolis in January ’15 and had been searching for a stylist. Melissa was the 6^th or 7^th stylist I went to trying to find someone to cut my hair. After eight months of hunting and always walking away unhappy with the cut I was getting, I stumbled upon her thankfully. At our first meeting she listened to everything I had to say about what I like/​look for in a hair cut and from a stylist and the experience I had had at this point since my move. When she was done with the cut and asked what I thought, I made the remark that I think next time I would like to go shorter as it was my only nit pick with the job she had done. Which was minimum criticism, it was a great cut, she said lets just take care of it now and proceeded to take it shorter to the length I was looking for. She’s very easy to talk to and has a great personality. I like that she has specialized in men’s cuts. I know most stylist tend to focus on women’s hair because there is more profit and ladies tend to give more fuss about their hair than men do. With that being said she doesn’t charge insane prices for a men’s cut. I have a certain price range I just can’t justify paying for a cut and it seems more and more salons/​stylist are charging women’s cut prices for a man’s. Thank you Melissa for doing a fantastic job. I do believe a good cut and style can assist in the way you feel. It’s nice being happy about my hair again.

Melissa has styled my hair several times and the experience and result have been consistently awesome. She’s not only a stylist, she also trains other stylists how to cut men’s hair and, yes, she is that good.
Thinking I was smart, I used to look for the cheapest haircut. Now, I don’t trust just anyone to touch the few precious hairs I have left.

Melissa is awesome! She’s professional, very technically proficient & knowledgable about all the hair care products for guys. I’ve gone to the chain shops for years for my haircuts just to save some $$, only to get so-​so svc & rushed in & out. Melissa has a great price for the service & expertise she provides. By far the best service & cut I’ve had in a long time. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Melissa has given me the BEST haircut of my life! She is TRULY the best there is! I used to go to Sportclips and any chop shop and be ok with regular haircuts. Melissa educates you and really cares about her clients. Since then I can’t go back. Her attention to detail and her passion for what she does TRULY makes her the best there is.

Melissa is a great men’s hair stylist. She is always letting me know about the latest fashion trends. She does a great job and I love that she offers a neck shave.
