I was hungry when I got back from work and what we did immediately? Look for ribs. so we head out to Baker’s ribs, and get the Rib Plate and 2 sides… forget about the sides. we are here to talk about ribs. ribs .ribs… ribs… the ribs are juicy, got 6 of them in the plate and they are perfectly done. juicy n soo yummy. I know there are a few good places to eat ribs around the twin cities but nothing comes close to Baker’s Ribs. and the place is called Baker’s Ribs for a reason. GETTHERIBS…

Solid, solid, solid. Great atmosphere, quick moving line, great sides, fantastic brisket. My only complaint? The ribs were overdone that I got. But, I ate ‘em, and they were still very good. There are a lot of folks claiming to do brisket that comes out more like London Broil, this stuff is the real deal, and the«burnt ends» they tossed in at my request were delicious.

I’ve been eating here for 13 years. The food is great, the atmosphere is very Texan and the people that run the place are wonderful The brisket is the best meat item on the menu followed by the ribs, and pulled pork. You will want to get the dirty rice for sure! Criticisms: the beans are missing depth, and the iced tea should be home made but isn’t. For the pop/soda drinkers there is a wonderful selection of old time brands of pop in a claw foot tub and there is a huge tub of peanuts to eat as you wait in line. I would say that Bakers is the best BBQ in the twin cities and I’d say I’m a BBQ expert.

Trip Advisor and Zagat decals covered the entrance door as we walked into the Baker’s Rib establishment. We were acknowledged immediately even when the cashier was helping someone else. The menu is extensive so take your time to review. Someone once told me that if a BBQ joint don’t know how to make moist brisket, it’s not worth coming back. So that’s what I ordered with a side of baked beans and potatoe salad all for the cost of $ 11.99. Served on a disposable plate and a bottle of warm BBQ sauce on the side. The dining area is like an outdoor picnic and ready to hoedown themed with country music on the over head, colorful lights dangled above us, and more decoration of farm, hogs, and cattle surround us. One bite of the brisket and BOOM! I’m hooked. Best brisket I’ve ever eaten, seriously. It was moist and melt in your mouth goodness. The potatoe salad and baked beans complimented the brisket so well. I savour each bite of the rib-sticking goodness. They know BBQ and they know how to do it! The best hidden gem in the Twin Cities, hands down. By the way, Zagat rated their food at 27⁄30. The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed everything, even all the little piggies. I will try the ribs next time!

I was visiting from Austin, TX and know a bit about BBQ. Baker’s Ribs is the REALDEAL — I would be proud to have it in my neighborhood in Texas. When you walk in, you realize this a real smokehouse. The ribs are excellent. A perfect crust yet tender and juicy. Whether you are a sauce person or not, theirs is not overwhelming, a light sweet and sour that doesn’t mask the great taste of the meat. Minneapolis — you should appreciate the gem you have here!

I have tried nearly every rib place in the Twin Cities, and this is the absolute winner. The best ribs ever. It is hard to find, but the public beats a path to the door of this unassuming place every day. We are blessed to have it. It is definitely worth a trip. I always take a lot of food home even when I am eating in. Go and make yourself happy. It is the best.

Disappointed! We had high hopes given the reviews on this place. Our group had the chicken wings, rib plate, and ham sandwich. The BBQ was wet and flavorless.

Best pork spare ribs on the planet. The meat is juicy, smoky, tender… and the sauce is just perfect. I usually get to Minnesota twice a year and this is definitely one of my stops. I have been to a lot of BBQ joints around the country and this is one of the best.

Baker’s Ribs is the one and only place in/near the cities, or in MN I guess, that I crave each time I decide I need to eat ribs. And/or potato salad. Not that I would ever really want one without the other. Becaaaaaause their potato salad is ridiculous. As in ridiculously good, obviously. It is more of a dill based salad, rather than mustard-y. Very creamy, and super flavorful but in a subtle way. The potatoes are chopped very fine and I immediately decided as I first tried it, that I prefer it over large pieces/chunks of potato. It blends really well with the dressing that way and it always tastes really fresh. I should’ve elaborated on my love for their ribs first but apparently I got distracted. To shorten the story, their ribs have been pretty consistently great. They’re juicy, M E A T Y, tender and flavorful. Whether you leave off their BBQ or not, they’re awesome. I sometimes try to use sauce on every other rib if I am focused enough, cause I do like it quite a bit myself. But it’s easy to get carried away and forget everything else. And if that happens, so be it. Oh, lastly, the toast! The toast is so so good too. Not sure what makes it so tasty. I always think I will ask for additional slices but I know that a half rack of ribs + potato salad is plenty. Baker’s Ribs rocks. The end.

Baker’s is a great place to spend your hard earned money. The food is real. I go once a week, since I started working close to it. Great ribs, great brisket. Dirty rice is awesome! I always get the sliced brisket plate with dirty rice and a caesar salad. Of course, some days are better than others, as with any place. Overall great place for real food. Satisfied customer!

If I feel like BBQ for lunch, I go Baker’s. I come here for lunch every other week or so and get the four rib special with rice. The quality is amazingly consistent, and the ribs are soft, juicy, and delicious. The meal is extremely filling with the Texas Toast that comes with. And their dirty rice… oh man, so good. The ribs are served dry seasoned, but each table has extra barbecue sauce for people who love drowning their ribs(like me). I’ve only had other items on the menu a few times, and I remember them being good. Can’t beat the four rib, though.

The ribs here are very good and the prices are right. For about $ 14 you get a generous half-rack of St. Louis ribs, two sides, and toast. Not a bad deal. The ribs were smoked perfectly and the warm bbq sauce is a nice addition. It a typical bbq restaurant atmosphere and a good place for a quick lunch. They have lots of specials clearly posted and the ordering process is fast and easy.

Amazing. Atmosphere, taste, prices, this is an excellent place to eat. I ate the House Special for lunch, a BBQ sandwich with two sides. I chose tomato basil salad and dirty rice, both tasty. But the BBQ was the real star, it had great flavor. I thought this was a one of a kind restaurant until I saw on their website that they have multiple locations. You’d never know it though, it doesn’t feel that way because of the thoughtfully quirky interior atmosphere. Well done.

The best BBQ in the Twin Cities as far as I am concerned. There was a point in time when I worked down the road where I ate here once a week. I regret nothing. Sure, I gained a little weight eating their delicious ribs, sausage, turkey, chicken, pork brisket, potato salad, Cole slaw, beans and rice but ITWASWORTHIT. Plus you smell like a BBQ joint the rest of the day after eating there to remind you of the AMAZING food you ate earlier in the day. You can also order ahead and for future dates so you can feed your ENTIRE family for Christmas, a Reunion, a graduation party or just because you want to indulge in AMAZINGBBQ. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I’ve never had a bad meal here and don’t think I ever will.

This place is a hidden gem. It is locally owned and I feel like the food is much better then famous Dave’s barbecue. Their prices are decent you can get a pull pork sandwich under 10 bucks. There is sufficient seating in this small little hole in the wall restaurant but don’t expect much Décor. They have a ton of pig accents hanging on the walls and piggy knickknacks all around the restaurant. They even let you sample the meat first if you are undecided. And if you are having a hard time finding this place it is located next to Leeanns kitchen and great clips right off the flying cloud exit from the 494. I try not to come here very often because Its not the healthiest food option but I can’t help it… it’s good!
