Lee Roy’s Chicken & Burgers

The food was amazing. The chicken and the burgers were both excellent. I went on a Sunday night with my family. Found out they ONLY serve chicken and burgers on Sunday night. To my satisfaction both items were very well-​made and tasted great.
The only reason I did not rate it five stars was because the facility is a little run-​down, especially the bathrooms. Hopefully this business will do well enough that they can expand to a nicer facility in the near future though.

My compadre Joe told me about a great place to have Chicken Fried Steak in of all places Edcouch, Texas. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. While it was just a tad bit greasy it was very tasty and well seasoned. One suggestion to the staff and owner, your oil needs to be a little hotter so that your chicken fried isn’t as greasy, but I think you could attribute it to the huge crowd of people in the place. You can tell the locals really love this place. The orders were pouring out of the back.
My compadre had their burger combo and he loved it, but again said the fries were just a tad bit greasy. But I kinda like ‘em that way (too many fries at Starlight burger, lol)
This little out of the way restaurant is a good place to eat and has a nice Tex Mex menu with great burgers, fried chicken and chicken friend steak. They have daily $ 7.50 specials and their menu is very inexpensive.
It is a little hard to find, so keep your eyes open as you are going down the main drag in Edcouch. But if you are in the area and need to find a good place to have a meal this place will most definitely hit the spot.

BOMBA FRIED CHICKEN!!! I heard about this spot from a friend, and I’m glad that she sent me their way. It’s a little out of the way, but this spot is well worth the travel time.
I had the 3-​Pc [mixed] Fried Chicken. It comes with a small salad, toast, fries [homemade], and a drink for $ 7.50. What a deal. The fried chicken was steaming hot, and cooked perfect as were the fries.
My brother got the Hamburger Steak which came with salad, toast, and fries. The hamburger steak was smothered in gravy, and grilled onions. I tasted it, and it was good.
This spot rocks, get out here sometime. Also Sundays they ONLY serve Burgers, and Fried Chicken.
