Large gym. Many classes avaliable. Can be hard to get out of contract. But I’m a big fan.

Functional for a week visit, but I wouldn’t use this as my regular gym. The weight room area is in serious need of ventilation – it smells like sweat and chlorine from the pool, and it’s bikram yoga hot in there. A lot of the equipment is pretty old (comparing it to my usual Seattle Gold’s location). The men’s locker room was disgusting and filthy, as was the «stretch deck».
The front desk guy was rude to my sister when she tried to use a trial pass, and was pretty snotty when he pointed out the (extremely) fine print that stated you had to have a valid ID for the Tri-​Valley area in order to use it. Even though she was with two other people, he denied her entrance to the gym. I don’t know if this is a franchise or what, but I’ve never heard of not being able to use a trial pass unless you live in the area.
I don’t live in Eau Claire, but from what I’ve seen of Gold’s here, you can do better.

Passing through town and needed a gym for the night. Had everything I needed. Arrived at 7pm. parking lot looked packed but did not have to wait for any weights or equipment. The locker room and restroom was a little messy but nothing too bad. Worth the visit. A little pricy for a day pass

Gold’s is, in my opinion, the best gym in the city of Eau Claire. Not only do they offer a variety of equipment, but they offer a ton of classes from Aqua Yoga to Zumba. The instructors are all fantastic!
They recently received and updated a lot of their equipment, and always keep the gym in good shape by cleaning. I almost always see one of their employees working on something or cleaning the facility.
Once you are done working out, whether it be in the pool, weight section, or cardio cinema, you can stop by the desk on your way out for a smoothie! They are really good, and actually not that high in calories.
The only thing that I wish they had at this point is towels, but it’s easy enough to bring your own.
LOVE Gold’s, and cannot see myself ever going to another gym in Eau Claire.
