This candy store just opened on Sept. 10, 2007. My sweet-toothed wife had noticed the signs for a candy store coming soon for a few weeks and when we say they were opening this past Monday, we were sure to go the first day they opened. The atmosphere is really nice with an early 1900s-style decoration. There are barrels and baskets from which to get and carry the candy around. They have sugary candies, chocolate candies, hand scooped ice cream and fancy chocolate, chocolate-dipped items, and expensive truffles. We went a bit overboard and got more candy that I’d planned, but I wanted to splurge on their opening day. I think it’s a family-run operation; I mean this in that all four people working there seemed to be members of a family(father, mother, son, daughter). Their full selection of chocolates weren’t in and they’ll have taffy as well. I’ll be sure to go back in a month or so and see what they carry when fully stocked(if the selection is great, I may go from four to five stars).
