Terrible stay. Customer service was horrendous. Rooms were reserved for a wedding and welcome package was not provided to guests. Welcome package had important information-i.e. shuttle service, wedding details… etc. I advised staff and got a «I’m sorry and i should pick up». Strike one. Shuttle service was to be provided to and from wedding. Informatuon was in welcome gift which we did not receive till late. Missed shuttle service to church and important memories I will not be getting back. Strike two. Hotel boasts state of the art fitness. Not sure was state of the art. At best it was maybe state of the art 20 years ago and it was a closet. Strike three. Hotel boasts tennis courts– they were under construction. Strike four. Hotel advertises canoe rentals. Called front desk about rental and was told to call Typhoon Tommy’s regarding rental. Typhoon Tommy’s told me that hotel privides canoe free of charge. Called hotel again and was told canoes would be ready in 15 minutes and to pick up by waterside café. Guess what? No canoe. Strike 5. Had to call front desk again and was told to pick up at different location. Ridiculous. I asked to speak to a Manger repeatedly and not one called me. Strike six. At checkout I advised front desk of issues and was told«it’s been a busy few days». You should never say that to a customer. It wasnt even busy! Unexcusable. This was a wedding and rooms were blocked off-this should have been a priorty. No accomadations made. We have family in Georgia and we visit frequently but this will not be a place I would go to again. P. s. if you choose to stay at this hotel double check you check out bill. They tried to charge me for canoe.

We wanted to stay at the Ritz but the price for Labor Day weekend was just too steep so found out about Cuscowilla and booked a room for several nights. The resort grounds were very pleasant, close to the lake and two nice pools and very good dining. All of that was wonderful. Only downside was that the maid service never came to our room the first day is was needed at all. By the time we returned to the room from outdoor activities it was too late to ask that they complete their service. Also, the queen beds in the room needed replacement. We were rolling into the center as they curved into the middle… ouch. — Other than those two issues, overall a good resort for families!

Wow! We had a fabulous weekend at this resort. My cousin, who lives near Atlanta decided to have her wedding at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee. She wanted her friends and family to stay at the resort for the weekend, making the event more like a reunion with a lovely lakeside ceremony on the agenda. We arrived on Thursday afternoon. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. All of the suites are located in one area of the resort close to the water. The room we were given was comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. We were a short walk from the lake, pool, restaurant, and pro shop. I visited the pool throughout the weekend and enjoyed views of the lake while sipping on drinks I purchased from the restaurant just inside the clubhouse. My cousin’s wedding ceremony was held lake-side on the lawn behind her suite. It was a beautiful sitting. We spent the rest of the day boating and playing games on the lawn. The entire event was relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for an affordable yet comfortable place to stay on lake Oconee. This resort is especially appealing for families and golfers.
