Suddenly Samantha

When you find a good thing, don’t mess with it! Every six weeks, I travel over an hour to Suddenly Samantha’s just to sit in Laurie’s chair, and it’s worth every minute. Laurie is dedicated to creativity and constantly upping her game behind the chair! I work for a fortune fifty company in a visible position, and because of Laurie’s ability to blend edgy colors with modern style, I’m able to maintain my professional life in balance with my personal style!

I followed Laurie to Suddenly Samantha a year ago, because she’s AMAZING. She’s the only person in the world who I trust with my hair. She’s been doing my hair for about three years now. What I love best about working with Laurie is that I just have to give her a suggestion, «I dunno, maybe some stripes? Some blue?» and she comes back with, «Okay, we’re gonna do this over here and that over there and lighten up to here and cover this with that» and three processes, four bowls of dye, and a couple hours later, I come out looking like a unicorn.
Laurie’s done a lot of really cool things with my hair. She’s got a really good understanding of how to mix colors, (which you need when you’re using hair colors out of the BIG crayon box) and knows how they’ll fade. She’s done a really cool mix of pink/​purple/​blue on me a few times, and it’s so much fun to watch the dye evolve. The colors fade so nicely because she strategizes how it’ll look one wash later, ten washes later, etc. As it grows out, it still looks intentional — It’s not as vibrant as it used to be, but it definitely doesn’t look like it’s been three months since it was done.
She’s also done amazing things with my hair using «naturalish» colors. She did a black to orangey red ombré that looked *really* amazing. It was plain enough to be professional, but awesome enough that it wasn’t boring.
The downside of going to Laurie is that EVERYONE is constantly stopping me and asking me how I made my hair all these colors. One time, I had a woman literally chase me down through Wegman’s and bowl over my boyfriend with her shopping cart to ask about my purple hair.

I love going to this salon! Aja is the best! She takes time to talk with me about my hair and what ideas I have and gives her input. My hair always turns out better than what I could imagine. Everyone is very friendly and will also give their advice. Even though I’ve moved out of the area, I will still drive over an hour to get there.

The five stars says it all. I’ve been getting my hair done here for a very long time and each and every time that I visit is a positive experience. I love each of the people that work here, they’re so friendly and accommodating and the artwork that They hang on the walls creates an atmosphere that I adore. I love this salon!

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. The owner Steve has truly built a salon where, as the client, you feel as though you’re being treated with the utmost respect and given such great attention. That’s extremely hard to find in the area. I’ve been going to Aja for my cuts and color. She’s extremely talented, but what i appreciate most is that she’s realistic. She takes your past color history and texture of your hair into consideration before doing anything. I have extremely thick hair, and I have a ton of it with a natural wave — slight curl. She gave me an amazing, low maintenance pixie cut and broke the base of my years of box dye hair color. She used the best products like olaplex to lighten my hair without compromising the condition of my hair! We both realized that the level of blonde I wanted would take a few sessions and she was very upfront and informative with her plan. Other stylists there like Laurie, Tara, and Steve all offer their advice. I appreciate the team effort and never worried that the finished product would be something I wasn’t happy with. I would recommend anybody to this salon with any type of hair. Their hours are convenient and the prices are reasonable. I work 50 miles away and on a daily basis receive multiple compliments on my cut and color. I even had a few women ask to take pictures of my hair to show their stylist!

Tara has done my hair for years now. I have never been happier than with the care and effort she puts in. After living out of the state for a while I missed her work even more. She is truly talented and I am a very happy client of hers.
Suddenly Samantha has great people that love what they do and it shows. They are by far the best salon in the Lehigh Valley.

Just had my hair done by Aja. She did a single process red with blond highlights with ~1.5 inches cut. Aja is very sweet. I’m always nervous having my hair done by someone new and often cry afterwards. I feel very relaxed and no crying. Love my new hair! I highly recommend this place and Aja!

Thanks to Steve, Jess, Asia, Tara, and all stylists for working their magic this saturday! They donated their entire day to ensure that all local models’ hair and makeup looked *absolutely stunning* for the Easton apparel shops’ fashion show.
