This brand new coal oven restaurant served a very good Margherita pie, nicely charred with high quality tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. My Caesar salad was also quite good. Would give 4 stars but for the rather slow service. Only 4 tables occupied at lunch and two waitresses on duty, but no one seemed to notice I was there. Background music was a strange mix, and much too loud. Hope it improves; Lehigh Valley needs more quality pizza restaurants, especially with a coal oven.

I was so excited to try this place out and thank goodness we were not disappointed. Went there for the first time last week with family and friends the food was amazing, the service was on point and of course the drinks were delicious! Love it… this will be a regular spot for us. Just what the downtown Easton area needed, a fresh new face!

They ran out of pizza when we arrived at a fairly normal dinner hour. Overall the place has potential but if you’re a coal fired pizza restaurant, you simply cannot run out of the main attraction. What we ended up eating instead was good but I immediately felt sick after we left and now the following morning its clear something we ate made us sick.

I ate there today for the first time. The pizza was just fantastic, We had the Margherita and white pizzas. Stoke obviously takes pride in the ingredients, preparation and cooking. Close to an authentic true Italian pizza, not the” large to go «from your corner greasy pizzeria. My friends from Italy would enjoy it. I had the wings also, very tasty over sautéed onions and peppers with a tangy sweet sauce sprinkled with Gorgonzola cheese. I wish them luck… another step up for Easton.

Disappointed that after we were sat we were told, «The only items we are not serving tonight are all of the pizzas, pinwheels, and lasagna.» Not really much else on the menu to choose from… not mention you’re a pizza joint not serving any pizza. What’s more perplexing is their reasoning. Direct quote, «We are perfecting the consistency.» One would think if you were trying to perfect something, you’d want to do it more often, no!!! The only thing they seem to be perfecting is how to go out of business. If you’re not ready to open, then don’t.

Had the caprese small plate and shared the chicken blt. Tasted great. Great music and craft beer. Can’t wait for the pizza after the soft opening. Nice clean atmosphere.

Really excited to check this place out at their soft opening. I was a little bummed when we were sat and told the coal oven was down for the evening due to an oxygen issue — but the menu looked pretty decent so we decided to try some other items and if they were good we’d make a second trip back for the pizza. After tonight I’d like to make a trip back every day! Stoke far exceeded my expectations and is a welcome addition to the downtown Easton scene. This place is gastropub meets Italian food with perfect combination of atmosphere, booze, and food. We started off with the Coal Fired Chicken Wings… amazing combination of sweet and spicy sauce topped with hot peppers and gorgonzola cheese. Next we shared the spinach and gorgonzola salad — I wasn’t a big fan of gorgonzola cheese but after tonight I am… The salad combination is perfect! For entrees we had Carmella’s Lasagna and Coal Fired Stuffed Pepper with a side of Penne. The lasagna was topped with big chunks of meet(short rib maybe, pot roast?) and was the perfect combination of cheese, meat, and sauce. The stuffed pepper was just amazing… topped with a poached egg, I never had anything quite like it before. The side of penne rounded out the pepper to make a complete meal and was also excellent — the red sauce was delicious and served pipping hot. When we heard they had homemade cannoli I couldn’t resist. They serve two and the filling was just amazing — nuts and chocolate and maybe some dried fruit? So good!!! One thing was better than the next at Stoke… I can’t tell you what I liked best, but I can’t wait to come back for more! Good luck to the business and give this place a try — I think you’ll love it!
