Great food in buffet however could have better Chinese fare. Was too gooey maybe due to being too long in buffet. The Masala on the rest of dishes tasted grrat

Great food at the buffet. Good quick lunch option for any weekday. Been twice and not disappointed either time. Buffet was slightly different each time. Highly recommended.

I have had Indian food all over the world and this is on par with the best. Not as spicy as in Indian communities but this is good for people not accustomed to real hot foods. If you want it hot they can spice it up. Great to eat in or take out, their buffet lets you try lots of different things. Super friendly staff, had to talk some family and friends into giving it a try now they are hooked. Lucky to have this place nearby.

I really like the food here. Authentic Indian buffet style, like I’m used to in NY. Always a good vegetarian selection, and the price is right.

Waited 65 minutes for a take out order that was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. One person working the entire front of the house is ridiculous!

I have been Spice India in allentown. I liked the food there. I found the restaurant in easton. But, I so much disappointed with foods and poor serving. The foods were so salty and low quality. I will never visit there again.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. We tried the lunch buffet– there was a lot of variety and options. Plus, complimentary naan! Definitely check this place out!

Tried the buffet, had much much better Indian food at other Indian restaurants, the meat curries were watered down, especially the chicken tikka and chicken curry, the tandoori chicken and naan was good

First off, before I say anything, I want to say that I am originally from California, only moved here 1.5 years ago. My ex husband(whom I was with for 7 years) was Indian, and we were constantly eating California-restaurant Indian food(which have pretty high standards, especially in San Francisco). We also had our Indian friends over at our house A LOT and they were always cooking«real» Indian food for us(real meaning made the way actual Indian people cook it in their homes, which is hands-down THEBEST). Also, I myself have pretty much mastered the art of Indian cooking over those 7 years, with the help of all our Indian friends teaching me first hand. So I am fairly well-versed in how the different regions are supposed to taste, and the distinct differences between them. I just order out sometimes when I’m too lazy to cook, lol. Food from the Goa region is a bit different(that’s where my ex was from), they have lots of seafood and almost tropical twists(fish, shrimp, coconut milk, etc.) and Portuguese influence in their food as Portugal used to own that area, generally the flavors are lighter and more mild… But say… Punjabi style food is a bit stronger, their curries seem darker, richer and more spicy. And then the far south, well that’s a whole new ball of wax, lol. It really depends what area you are focusing on, when you are judging an Indian food place as «authentic» or «non-authentic». There is no one style of cooking that covers the entire country. But regardless of what region you are talking about– Indians in general do take great pride in their food. Anyway, I just ate here this evening. I only ordered the chicken byriani(it came with a yogurt sauce), mango lassi drink and garlic Naan. Everything was good, but… I think I’m accustomed different kind of byriani– in my past experience back in California, the rice was always several different colors because it was made in layers(at least that’s how I was taught to make it), some of the rice on top would be white from not touching the spices as much, the rice on the lower levels would be yellow from the turmeric, some of it was redd-ish from the saffron, and LOTS of different flavors from the marinated meat… But Spice India’s was kind of all one uniform color(like a golden reddish-yellow). I did order«mild» because I don’t like when something burns my mouth. But I did add some salt. That’s not really a bad thing though, I guess because its better to need more salt than to have too much(especially for the heart patients out there). Not sure if it was the way a different region makes it? But in general, I did like it. The yogurt sauce was a savory kind. It tasted a lot like raita… Probably was. It had a few shreds of carrot. It was good, I spooned some on my plate and let it run into the rice. The Naan bread is good, I’m just used to a different flavor/texture, I guess. But I did enjoy it. The mango lassi drink, that was really good. But then again, you can’t go wrong with mango, its one of those things that is just good in of itself, lol. The drink is nice and creamy. The service was helpful, attentive and friendly. Knew all about the food(some places they don’t, they just ring you up and shrug when you have a question). I had to leave early because my husband was extremely cranky from his wisdom tooth surgery and he was being very fussy, I didn’t want to draw attention. I hope I didn’t offend the hosts by putting my food in a container and leaving halfway through. Nothing wrong with the place, it was very nice inside. Portions were generous. But I did feel the price was a little high(most entrees are about $ 12, and little sides /appetizers are $ 2 — $ 4). I really do feel like I need to try more of their food before I can really judge this place… Like at least one tandoori dish, one curry dish and one dessert. I’ll be back, but probably alone next time, lol. I did take some pictures of the food I had, so everyone can see. And of the inside.

Delightful chutneys, several of the appetizers are now family favorites. It’s not the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten, but the best in Nazareth/easton/Phillipsburg area. Indian and the American palette are not always intertwined, but the restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and the menu is large. You might not find what you’re looking for first time, so the buffet is a great option to SAMPLE, but don’t judge simply on the buffet, ask the staff. Tell them what you like and ask for a recommendation. Shrimp biryani, butter chicken, shrimp nargisi are all good choices. I’d give five stars but the food preparation isn’t always perfect and the buffet had some items that were cooler then they should’ve been.

Went for a recent dinner with family and was a fan of Spice India. The Gobi Manchurian and Gobi Honey Appetizers were well received. For entrees, we ordered the Malai Kofta, Paneer Bhurjee, Palak Paneer along with Onion Kulcha, Lutcha Paratha and Plain Naan. the Kofta was more potato than I would have liked. but the curry was great. The Paneer Bhurjee was tasty and spicy as specified, but never overbearing. curries often have a tendency to be very oily, but this was not the case here at all. Well executed on all fronts. Of the breads, the onion kulcha was my favorite, with the onions baked into the bread. All in all, service was great as was the food. Definitely a place to return.

I have been eating here for about 3 years, but I’m never going back. The guy who runs the kitchen, his name is Allen, is the most inconsistent, moody human being you will likely ever run into. Makes Sybil look like an only child, kind of person. If this guy is in a good mood, he makes promises about future treatments and accommodations for your meals. If he’s in a bad mood he completely disregards those promises. I’ve been putting up his crap for a while because it’s close to my house, but I’m never going back. He did it again today, and it was just the last time for me. Probably the most expensive lie he never got away with. The camels back has broken. Just same old stuff over and over as far as the buffet goes anyway. Stingy! It’s a very poorly run establishment! It’s unbelievable to me how stupid some business people can be. They work so hard trying to get new people to come into the door, and then they take their best customers and push them out the door with poor service, and inconsistent food quality. That’s it for me!

Went to this place to dine twice and had good experience twice. The buffet is the way to go. It is unfortunately only on Mondays and I forget the other day but during the week. Decent selection and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking and the place was clean. I am not a huge Indian food fan but this place had good food with great flavor. I would definitely recommend this place for the buffet.

Lunch to-go today was excellent, and past visits to the buffet have been good as well, however I favor this location to the whitehall location.

Just had their lunch buffet which was fabulous! Very reasonably priced(around $ 12). Their staff was very attentive and all the food was labeled and since I didn’t exactly know what I was eating that was very useful. Over all great experience with delicious food!

I have to say that this is not very good Indian food. It’s mediocre, and while the restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, there were only two items on the buffet today at lunch that were cooked well. Most items I had were overcooked, not well seasoned, and even the dessert items were lacking flavor. The only meat item I had that was cooked well was the lamb curry; and the dal was done well. Everything else was bland, boring, and especially the chicken… it was overcooked and dry to the bone. The way they have the rice stored is beyond weird(why would you float it on plastic wrap?), and I just can’t give it more than two stars. I won’t be coming back here. I have to agree with other reviewers — this is not quality Indian or Pakistani food. Don’t waste your time or your money here.

I enjoyed the dinner buffet tonight at Spice India. It was my first visit to this restaurant, but I was there with a group of colleagues all of whom had been there before. It’s rare to see a buffet for dinner — that’s good and bad. Of course you get more variety this way, but I don’t like buffets because of the tendency to over-eat. Fortunately, I was good today. I thought the chhole bhature were nice to have on the buffet — it’s not something you see quite often. The palak paneer was also really good. The daal makhani was OK. I didn’t care much for the mixed veggies. My favorite, paneer makhani, was nowhere to be seen and that was disappointing. The naan were fine. I would say, there was probably one less vegetarian entrée than there should’ve been. They had a LOT of meat options. Anyway, good for some and not others… Lastly, for dessert, the kheer was good. Just like the way my Mom makes it.

It was nice to find a bit of spice in an otherwise bland shopping center. I had the buffet, nothing spectacular, but perfectly fine as Indian Buffets go. Happy tastebuds allow me to ignore so-so service. There isn’t much to do while serving a buffet to an almost empty restaurant, and there was nothing wrong, but nothing that stood out, either. Still, this was a nice surprise. I’ll be happy to return the next time I am in the area.
