Heather’s Salon

I am so delighted to have found Heather’s salon! Amazing how Josie can tame my long unruly curls with her magic at blow drying. People actually walk up and touch my soft, wavy hair now! Color is great – so natural. Finally no more driving 140 miles RT to my old stylist in Bowie. I despaired after the owner/​stylist at the first Easton salon I tried colored my hair waaaay too dark and dried it into a curly mop over my protest! He said HE liked it that way! At the next place, the sweet stylist gave up her attempt at blowdrying and used a flat iron – leaving my hair as attractive as cornsilk! Oh, and one more plus at Heather’s – a tasteful yet warm ambience.

I contracted Heather’s Salon to do hair and makeup for me and my bridal party at my wedding.
The positives: they arrived on time and took care of everyone as scheduled, and were finished only a little late. We were all happy with how we looked.
The negatives: they are very disorganized, which caused unnecessary stress while planning my wedding. For example, I asked them to send me a contract at least three times over as many months before Heather, the owner, sent it. The stylist who did my hair for the wedding didn’t remember how we had done it during our trial, even though she had a picture from the trial, and I had to ask her to re-​do it on the day of the wedding, which wasted some time. They did not keep track of the deposit I’d made, and were confused on the wedding day as to how much to charge me. Weeks later, one of them called to say they’d forgotten to charge me an extra $ 100 for coming to the hotel.
Ultimately, I was happy with my hair and makeup. But they were not easy to work with.
