Days Inn East Windsor/Hightstown

Comfortable hotel in a central location.
Clean, courteous staff, decent continental breakfast, and a very good restaurant/​bar inside the hotel. It’s a great bargain. I stayed here for 2 weeks with my husband and 2 toddlers. I would definitely recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was. We left Philly about 4pm, exhausted, We decided to find a hotel right after getting onto the NJ Turnpike. We stopped at the first rest area & grabbed one of those hotels coupon books. Then we called first one Days Inn, which wouldn’t honor our coupon. Then the 2^nd one in E.Windsor. Their price was also $ 120, but they said yes the coupon!
We got there and the place was just being renovated. Our room was immaculate, no smells, etc. we only wished we’d brought our bathing suits. And all that for $ 80!

My family and I enjoyed the weekend stay here. The room was nice and clean. The customer service was up to par. The continental breakfast was ok. We loved the pool. It was nice and quiet. We were kinda afraid after reading the online reviews but it was overall a great experience. I would suggest getting bigger beds. From full to queen.

We stayed here for one night 7÷5−7÷6 for our Six Flags trip. About a 20 – 25 minute drive to the park, but that was fine with us. What wasn’t fine with us was the following…
1. Reserved a NON-​SMOKING Queen room (placed in #116) and upon opening the door we were met with a horrible smell. When I opened the bathroom door, all you could smell was stale cigarettes. I immediately went back to the front desk and requested to be moved. I’m asthmatic and have allergies, so needless to stay, this room wasn’t going to work. We were placed in room 213 which was fine for what it was
2. The first floor hallway also reeked of cigarette smoke, which is bizarre since all the doors on the first floor have a no smoking plaque on them
3. I just checked my CC statement and they charged me $ 106.95 for the room. I stayed on points via my Capital One Venture card and should never have been charged. I was told it would take 3 – 5 business days to have this removed. Major annoyance, but fixable
4. The signature day break breakfast is laughable. We opted to go up the road to Dunkin Donuts instead… I suggest you do the same
This hotel will do in a pinch, but I’ll be sure to stay somewhere else next time. It just felt dirty, rundown and overall pretty gross.

We weren’t even guests but pulled off the road because we had a sick child. Nick at the front desk was very hospitable. He provided us with the things we needed to clean the car seat and the restroom. If a hotel treats non-​guests this well, imagine if we were guests. Thanks Nick! The mothers are happier this Mother’s Day thanks to you!

Once again, business has brought me to East Windsor so I decided to try the Days Inn out. They are moderately priced but I feel like you are overpaying for their outdated rooms and décor. There is a misty smell as soon as you walk in the place that never went away.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times for trips to Six Flags and I don’t plan on staying anywhere else unless something drastic happens during my next stay.
For what you pay (book on Hotwire, don’t do the «Stay and Play» through Six Flags’ site) this hotel is great. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and I haven’t had any concerns over safety. The drive to Six Flags will take about 20 minutes but it’s worth it when you can stay here for like $ 30/​night as opposed to at least $ 65 closer to the park.
I haven’t eaten at their on-​the-​premises restaurant but, if you’re hungry, head about 10 minutes to Americana Diner for some good grub and fuel up for Kingda Ka and El Toro! Yahooooo!
