Very trendy! Farm to Table food! You can buy organic food from farmers here too! Great place to hang with friends. Menu always changing.

This was an unexpected treat. We were in the area for a family event and needed to find some food and as luck would have it Unilocal took us here. The place is nicely decorated but has a rather small seating area. We had a group of 10 people so we took up half the seating in the place. This is not a restaurant per se but more of a coffee shop. We all had different choices but the food was deciduous and you can tell was all locally sourced. Not huge portion either so if you are looking for the full on breakfast you will not get that here. Being a healthy person that eats smaller portions it was quite enjoyable.

You can’t go wrong here. Impressive selection of interesting choices for breakfast or lunch. If your tired of the ordinary treat yourself to soup, sandwiches and entrees that are created by very talented kitchen staff. Things I felt were exceptional were all their soups and Chilli. Pork goulash, A beef burgandy and all the sandwiches made with their homemade bread! Menu changes often to keep it interesting. Can’t wait to my next visit!

My father grew up in this area back in the 1940s, and my parents and I came out here for my father to reminisce. Well, the town has changed a lot since he visited here last in 1991. Well, 1pm and it was lunch time. I enjoyed the organic feel of the place, and my lunch special of a bowl of scrambled eggs, mixed vegetables, over brown rice was excellent. My father’s grilled cheese sandwich, however, did seem a it greasy. We switched dishes, and we’re satisfied. My mother also enjoyed her dish. I give them 4 ½ stars and am glad they are part of the lively historic square area of East Troy.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way from Milwaukee airport to Madison. My first meal in Wisconsin and I’m so glad we stopped! It’s a cute little café with lots of personality. the bacon, egg and cheese croissant is delicious. The other two in my group both got dishes heavy on veggies which was a nice touch. Very farm to table feel. Great place to stop!

After reading several average ratings, I decided to test those evaluations. I had the Chorizo, Egg, and Black Bean Breakfast. The fresh ingredients and unique flavored combined for a rich, flavorful meal. I highly recommend this locale!

This is an interesting spot that underwhelmed. The ingredients for our food were very good; however, the cook couldn’t properly execute something as simple as eggs-over-easy. The latte was also subpar and no refund was offered when it was brought to the waitstaff’s attention. This place has potential but needs to work on the execution and customer service.

I came here for coffee with my wonderful mother. I was very impressed by everything that I saw. The ambiance is great and the seating arrangements were quite comfortable. I thought the local /sustain-ably produced products for sale were pretty cool sounding I would loved to have purchased something if I wasn’t traveling. I also liked that they aim to please, I was that coffee-douche, that ordered something not on the menu-a cortado– It was pretty good. I figure if I’m going to grab a coffee I’m going to try and get something I’m not going to have very often. I wouldmost certainly stop back to this unique establishment in East Troy, I hope that it is very successful.

Hit this today during the art and craft show with my daughter and her husband. Great atmosphere, The coffee was excellent. We shared a couple of entrees. The food was great. Had a grilled cheese with house made bread and white cheddar. Daughter and husband had a portabella salad with quinoa. I sample some of theirs as well. The only complaint I had is I thought it was just a bit pricey. $ 6.50 for a grilled cheese(that came with nothing else), seemed just a bit high. To sum it up: Food Quality — excellent Service — excellent Prices — a bit high, based on food quality alone, I may just add a star. Next time we are down here we will stop again. It’s a good addition to East Troy. I really hope they make it here. Cute store, good food, good service

Passing through town after a day at Alpine Valley. Amazing food. Had the Egg & Cheese Enchilada w/Chorizo. Came with a side of the most amazing potato/carrot/kale combo. Iced tea was some of the freshest I’ve ever had. Great place.

Troy S’s 3 star review isn’t entirely accurate. Full disclosure, I’ve eaten here nearly every day for a year, and as one does, have gotten to know the owners pretty well. There isn’t(usually) anything on the food menu over $ 11, and the largest coffee is less than $ 5. The portions are generous and consist of almost exclusively organic and/or ethically sourced ingredients. 2 people can eat amazingly well for around $ 30. The wifi is free, and as fast as is available in the area(currently 50Mb down, 5Mb up) and you can bet that when faster speeds are available, they will be the first to have it. The protocol for cleaning up after yourself seems to confuse people. Customers are expected to bus their own tables, and from what I’ve seen, no one really does. There’s seating for around 50 people, which runs out quickly if you have 3 people and all the bigger tables are dirty. They accept Bitcoin, have 2 Tesla superchargers in the back parking lot, and are totally open to having live music, hosting meetups, and making the community a better place. In my opinion and experience, this is a modern establishment trying to do good, and so far is doing everything as right as they can. It’s a great place to hang out, play a game of chess, have healthy and tasty food, and leave satisfied without breaking the bank.

Went there today… half full of customers. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a burrito and a cup of coffee… $ 35 later… food all over the floor, 2 dirty tables and 4 young girls standing around talking who could be bussing tables… overall food was good. Girlfriend said coffee was amazing. Guess we will go back.

There is nothing not to like about 2894. Everything they have done from their opening day, has been top notch. Excellent coffee, seriously excellent from scratch food(they do meat, vegetarian, and have made some AMAZING vegan creations). Knocks it out of the park for breakfast and lunch! Besides that, the building is beautiful — old barn beams, great art, lots of seating, organic produce, and grocery items. Cool books, gifts, and happy energy to bolster your caffeine buzz!

Excellent find! In town from Minneapolis for my Cousin’s wedding and was delighted to find this spot for breakfast. Prices are in-line for organic, from scratch food. I had the Huevos Rancheros($ 11) and a pint of latte with almond milk. Breakfast came with a light cucumber salad and two slices of perfectly ripe peaches. Delish! In addition to eating you can also shop for harder to find organic items, pantry, fridge, frozen organic chickens, and current fresh veg. Further shopping includes books in line with healthy eating lifestyle as well as journals, jars, gardening, etc. It also looks to serve as a community gathering spot for the likes of the Computer Club and others. I’ll stop back here tomorrow with my son before heading home. Thanks for this unexpected Gem!

Was in East Troy recently as part of a family 4th of July gathering, and came across this relatively new café downtown on the main square while looking for a cup of coffee. It is a coffee shop that also has a great breakfast and lunch menu. The focus is on quality coffee and organic ingredients, so the prices are not on the low end, but the décor is first rate as is the food and coffee. The owners did a significant restoration of the building and it looks great, and has a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast polenta with chorizo sausage and a poached egg. Really excellent, which was a surprise find in this small town. The food was well prepared and a great mix of flavors. I am guessing most travelers don’t make it past the fast food chains just off of the East Troy exit from I-43. But if you head a bit further into town, this a real gem.
