So for an Orthotics place the parking lot is riddled with pot holes and uneven pavement. Not only that but take a look at the photos and you will see that the only sidewalk ramp is at the next store. If you finally make it through the front door like I did 5 minutes before my appointment time I then waited well over 30 minutes past my appointment which was this past Friday, not that they even cared but I was in excruciating pain just sitting there. They blamed the delay on someone else not having insurance. Do they think that they should be informing me of anyone else’s personal information?
As you see walking through the front door there is a rug down that is hard to move over especially with a walker and then tile to carpet which is another obstacle. Again, for an orthotics and prosthetics facility, you would think they would have put more thought into this and the safety of their patients.
I paid for an orthotic brace to be overnighted, $ 50 which is a lot of money but maybe not to them, and they assured me it would be in on Monday. By 1:30pm on Monday afternoon still no call so I called them. The lady I spoke to did not seem to know what was going on and put me on hold. She then came back on the phone and said it was in. I said I would be in before they closed to get it. She said I needed an appointment. I said I would be in no matter what before they closed, I need this orthotic to walk and let alone I already paid $ 50 to have it overnighted and yet they never called. She said she had a bunch show up this morning but she has not gotten to it. How many other people paid $ 50 out of their own pocket to do the same and never got notified? So finally I got a late appointment which I showed up early for. The OC that I saw was great and I informed him of my concern regarding the overnighting of my brace and not being notified. He understood my concern and I am sure he will address it but I wanted others to know what I went through so hopefully no one else will have to.
