So let me just start off my review by voicing my displeasure for the State of Illinois, who decided that since they were experiencing budget problems decided to NOT mail out license renewal notices this year, which nearly resulted in the expiration of my driver’s license had I not caught it in time. Long story short I couldn’t renew online, since I never received a mailer with my code which explains my visit and the following review. Wow, this place was a total experience. Now let me just say that the only reason I visited this location was because the Edwardsville location was experiencing a gas leak which slowed down the process to a painful process, needless to say I should have just toughed it out and stayed in Edwardsville. The staff here are not unfriendly, yet I wouldn’t go as far as saying they are friendly either. Now with that being said I can totally understand after waiting 45 minutes here I can see why. After I took a seat I was greeted by a woman who reeked of alcohol, and was barely able to form a coherent sentence, this woman later yelled out at the employees when they called her name telling them to shut up, and upon her exit she decided to yell«Goodbye Everybody» multiple times to the entire facility. Next up was a woman who let her two children run around with a loud musical keyboard and a large plastic baseball bat, which was swung around and nearly hit me on several occasions. Not once did the employees say anything, other than what they were required to do. Seating was limited as there was a full crowd, I was even scolded for taking a seat at the empty computer stations while I waited. The DMV is already a painful experience, however this was over the top. I just hope that Illinois figures a way out of this budget crisis before my license expires in 2019!
