The female giving the tour(which is free) gave us a lot of information on the history and process. At the end of the tour you can sample the different types of whiskey also for free. Of course I couldn’t leave without buying a bottle. I bought the limited edition straight which is sweet and smooth. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

I went to the distillery on Wed to get a gift pack set for a friend. The business was closed, as I was sitting in my car thinking of my next move a man knocked on my window. He asked if I was there to pick up something and I told him I was looking to get a gift pack. He said come in and opened up the shop and I was able to get the gift set I was looking for. His name was Jesse and he explained the different types of whiskey they produce. What other business have you ever heard of that would do that? The answer is none. Thanks Jesse for taking the time to help me out of this jam. If your product is half as good as your demeanor it will be great. Thanks, and check this place out they deserve your patronage. The whiskey is local and it’s the real deal

The tour was super fun! It was cool seeing a local distillery. The owners were all really nice and personable. And the drinks! So good! Had to get a bottle, though I wish I had planned better and bought a few for friends and family. Oh well, I’ll just have to go back!

I’m surprised more people don’t know about this charming local distillery! Went on a Saturday afternoon with a sizable group and had an enjoyable, intimate tour. Our guide, the great grandson of THE J.K. Williams, was accommodating, humorous, and extremely knowledgable. I learned everything I ever wanted to know about Whiskey in ~40 mins.(Not sure if I retained everything, but that’s human flaw). Undeniably, the best part of the tour was the complimentary tasting, even for someone who isn’t a Whiskey fanatic. Every single flavor/kind of the Whiskey that was distilled in-house had their own unique flare. Some notable ones were their pineapple, apple pie, and their award-winning bourbon.

What a great addition to the Peoria area! My husband and I along with some friends visited J.K. Williams Distilling in East Peoria for a Saturday afternoon tour and tasting. Kristin was our fun and knowledgeable tour guide. She was thorough with her explanation of the distilling process and their interesting family history. Following our tour we enjoyed tastings of all their products: Original Corn Whiskey, Smitty’s Apple Pie, J.K.‘s Lemon Whiskey and a Peach Whiskey. All were smooth and easy-drinking without the bite of a traditional, mass produced Whiskey. We eagerly await their version of Bourbon! We will definitely be back. Well done J.K. Williams!
