This is my go to place. Awhile back it was not good. Changed hands and it is great. Service is awesome. Food is great. Margaritas… with Don Julio tequila are awesome. I always meet there for food and margs.

This place offers fairly standard Mexican food. Cute décor, decent beers, and tasty salsa. It’s a very no frills Mexican place. Food is served hot and fresh. I was disappointed in the Chile Relleno. It was a massive plate of cheese and a tiny piece of chile laid over a small scoop of meat. The cheese was good, but the not what I would call standard chile relleno.

Two sizes of margaritas: big and bigger. Definitely get the bigger(only $ 1 more). Food was alright, nothing to write home about. Service was spectacular, though! Fast to bring our drinks, fast to take our order and fast for dropping off the check. I’m not from the area, but when I am town, this would be great for take out!

Worth the stop in! Great food and they are consistent. Always tasty food with fast service. The chips are fresh and the salsa is spicy but not too hot, just rite!

2.5 stars for my first experience. The only reason I will probably return is because it’s very close to work and there isn’t much else in a pinch, my fiancé’s fajitas were okay(small portion though) & the chips and salsa are good. My overall first experience was not the best. I ordered three À la cart items, a fried burrito, a taquito and a cheese enchilada. 1. My fried burrito came out the first time not fried and covered in tomato sauce. I was told it was fried and was told that the tomato sauce made it soft again… Seriously!!! I may have blond hair but I’m not and idiot and have over 15 years restaurant experience(which includes back of the house prep and chef!). I know when something is NOT fried. 2. I took a picture of the enchilada and posted it. It was the smallest, thinnest and not the best tasting cheese enchilada. 3. The taquito had no seasoning in the chicken, very bland. I asked if the guacamole was«home made» and was told it was, and later saw a guac box in the hall way. The waiters are not very professional and don’t realize there are Americans that can also understand Spanish. Oh, and once the burrito was FRIED and not covered in tomato sauce, it was tasty.

Visiting the area and looking for something tasty. Stopped here since it was close by and was pleased by the selection and friendliness. I didn’t see chile verses on the menu but they made it for me. The place was clean and décor was fun. I recommend El Sombrerito.

This place changed owners recently… It used to be disgusting(bug in your rice disgusting) BUTNOW it’s GREAT! It’s now more authentic Mexican food. It is deliciously cheesy and yummy. Fast & good service. YUM!

I love this place. My 5 year old son loves it so much that we have to order adult-sized platters for him. My husband and I have been fans of this place since high school. We have had many many dates here(when it was located on Pioneer Parkway). We were so happy when they reopened! It’s a small place, and is usually pretty busy. The chips/salsa are complimentary and tasty. I highly recommend the ground beef and cheese burrito, but my favorite is the ground beef/cheese quesadilla. My only minor complaint about this restaurant is the water. I order water with meals most of the time. I am wondering if this store’s water is well water, because I have had a few occasions that the water smelled. I couldn’t drink it.
