This place is THE PLACE to go for seafood in Central Illinois. You cannot go wrong. I recently started eating healthier and added a weekly stop at Dixon’s to my weekly routine. The people that work there are awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I started buying one meal a week there and now buy at least two. I like to try new things and they are quick to make a recommendation and will tell me how to cook it and what it will taste similar to. They will even remove the bones and the skin from the fish. I always feel safe buying there as they are the standard bearer for quality seafood in this area. My Dixon’s Seafood meals are my favorite at-​home meals every week!

Went in looking for several types of fish that we had never tried. J.R. took his time to explain all the different types, he described flavors and advised us as to how to season each of them and how long to cook them. We followed his advice and had an outstanding meal. We can’t wait to go back and try more. Anyone looking for seafood should definitely take a trip to Dixon’s, for those like me who are novices at seafood just ask, they know what they are talking about.

Helpful staff and the best place to buy seafood to cook at home. Their coconut crusted Mahi Mahi is awesome! We just don’t want to know if it is full of butter and such, since we feel good about ourselves for eating fish
