Pat’s has a great meat department! But there produce department is the very worst! The fruits & vegetables are second pickings. It’s like there Produce Buyer, buys all the leftover and rejected garbage for the larger stores. It’s been that way for years now. I only go there for the meats. It took a chance the other day and purchased some garlic, when I got home it was all rotten inside. To some it up, the Produce department is what you expect to see in a Third World Country.

Pat’s Meat Farms is good for two things and those two things are cold cuts and hummus. Everything else is so expensive. The deli department runs great deals on Boars Head products and the Sabra Hummus is always 2 for $ 5. Regular grocery stores charge $ 4.49EACH! The produce is VERY iffy here and again, NOTCHEAP. Also not the cleanest store I’ve ever been in. My ventures to Pats are business trips I don’t stroll around and shop here. Cold cuts and hummus and I’m out. Also, pay in cash if you can because the credit card machine here takes FOREVER.

Grocery. Pat’s has some great fliers and I finally was able to get myself over there to check it out. This is a small neighborhood grocery tucked into a corner of a shopping center but they have tons of interesting goodies jammed in there. I was sort of surprised by the large selection of everything — the place just didn’t appear that big from the outside but they really utilize the space well. The deli department was humming and they had many specialty items beside cold cuts — and ll at decent prices. A good selection of cheeses and fresh pastas, a small bakery department and a good sized product department lead you into a really nice meat area. All the meats were nicely colored and the selection, like the other departments, was more than I expected. Prices were very good. Toss in a few aisles of general grocery items, frozen and dairy goods and you have yourself a pretty full cart. They also have fresh bread near the door when you walk in and I found myself walking past that area like three times because it smelled so good. Great place and worth hitting if you are looking for great quality at decent cost. Parking lot in front.
