Best thing on the menu is the Sicilian pie and black cherry water ice. Both are the stars of the show

I grew up in Norristown and this was our families Friday night treat for dinner. Now my family and I travel 30 minutes for the Sicilian pizza. We always order one to eat in store and another to go with extra cheese. You can even call ahead to inform them that you will be eating one there. I also order a pie to go anytime that my travels have me close. We all love the unique taste and preparation method they employ that yields the unique texture of the whole pie even the crust. The crust is crunchy and the pizza is dense but light on your belly. If the taste isn’t for you, I think that you need a real pizza intervention, call me for the leftovers. Grazie per il gusto della Sicilia che mi ricorda la mia infanzia.

I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich after reading some great reviews about this place. That night and next day I got some serious food poisoning symptoms consistent with salmonella. I would love to give this place a good review because the sandwich tasted great, but it seems they have some serious food handling/cleanliness issues. Not recommended!

The meat lovers pizza is no joke. We ordered it & it weighs roughly the same as a baby elephant. It comes generously topped with bacon(do I need to say more than bacon?), pepperoni, sausage, and has enough calories to last a month. But it is dee-lish-us! (Editor’s Note: I only wrote it that way because I don’t really know how to spell deelishus). There’s some seating with waiters/waiteresses…but the best thing to do is get the meat lovers pizza to go so that you can shamelessly eat it at home in the dark while listening to your arteries close up. (2nd Editors Note: I lied about something in my review. I wrote ‘We ordered it…’ but I ordered it and ate it by myself).

This restaurant says that they deliver, but they do not deliver at any time. I called them for a delivery because we had some friends over and could not leave, but we were stuck in a bind because they didn’t follow through with what is advertised.

This has become a Friday night staple when my best friend and I hang out. We usually get pizza with sweet peppers and onions, and of course a bunch of different sides. Everything’s always prepared quickly and the service is fast. The staff is incredibly friendly. I definitely recommend giving this place a try next time you get a pizza craving! You won’t be disappointed!

Best Pizza in the entire area!!! If your in the mood for pizza I recommend the Sicilian which is my favorite anywhere on the planet. The regular is also off the hook especially with pepperoni or mushrooms. I also recommend their cheesesteaks, chicken parm, all of their pasta dishes and of course their strombolli’s If its on the menu its delicious.

Probably the best pizza that we’ve found in the area so far, although the pies are extremely oily. Very generous with the cheese and the sauce is not too tart and not too sweet, nicely balanced. I wish the crust was a little better but it has not stopped me from returning. We’ve tried the plain and onion/pepper pies and they’ve both been good.

My aunt got us takeout from this place during one of our family reunions. It was amazing. The crust was thick and nice. The topping options were great and the pizza was delivered in a timely manner. Super crowded. Good sign though, right? Keep up the good work.

Very nice service and very good pizza! There are plenty of places to eat in the area, but if pizzas what your hankering for then here’s where it’s at! Was in the area passing through and was hungry. Stopped by and was very pleased. All I got was a couple of slices, but they were good. About 5 or 6 choices, so there wasn’t a Wide variety of slices like some places I’ve been but it was enough! Thanks Via Veneto!

Excellent restaurant! Fantastic pizza, fantastic people, great service. Some of the best I’ve ever encountered. They also have really good Italian ice which is an awesome treat during the summer. Definitely recommend it!

The best water(wooder) ice! Great pizza and sandwiches. Try the Sicilian pizza here! Overall great pizzeria that is a staple of Norristown. A must try.

Excellent water ice, as good as any I had on several trips to Italy. Not really water ice more like creamy ice cream. Love the Lemon. Tried the meat lovers pizza full topping of several meats, bacon, pepperoni, sausage and meatball. Also had the boneless ribs and the combo appetizer chicken fingers mozzarella sticks and breaded broccoli. They were good but not the best I ever had. Will definitely go back for the water ice.

It took a while for me to be greeted and have my order taken for carry-out, but I forgave them when I started eating my sweet wings. My friend recommended this place for the wings, and I was not disappointed! They were cooked just how I like them: nice and tender. The sauce was perfectly sweet and delicious. I wish I asked for more sauce so I could bathe in it! Lol The white ricotta Sicilian pizza is so good! The edges were so crispy, but thankfully not burned! It even tastes great when reheated. It was a little confusing, at first, when it came to the seating area. Apparently, only the front part of the restaurant is for ordering at the counter, and the back part is for a server to take your order. Now I know :) and now you know! No more confusion ;)

Pretty good pizza. Some of the best water ice in the Philly area; kills Rita’s. The new location in East Norriton is much nicer than the old location. Great gathering spot.

I freaking love this place, because I love pizza, and they make top 5 quality pizza. All I’ve had is the Sicilian slice with sausage, but it was enough to convince me of their greatness. The sauce is rich enough, cheese loaded enough, crust crisewy(crispy and chewy) and don’t even get me started with the sausage. Great place to chill and watch the game at too.

Been eating there since I was a kid. Great crust and super cheesy pizza as it should be Also really good cheesesteaks and in the summer water ice!!! Haven’t been there since the move but they used to have pinball. Think I need to make a trip down soon

I’m probably being generous with 3-stars for such a bland pizza, but since I didn’t encounter any problems with the store, the people or the food, I won’t go any lower than that. I went there solely based on the raving Unilocal reviews and I’m a bit mystified by what people love about their pizza. I considered getting the Sicilian because it was noted multiple times by other reviewers, but I figured that the first experience needed to succeed or fail based on a simple standard pizza. My taste buds found absolutely nothing special about this pizza at all — not the sauce, not the cheese and especially not the crust. It’s all just pretty average. This is the kind of generic pizza you expect to find at a location like this. Personally, I’ve rarely had great pizza at places that thrive on selling reheated slices to walk-up customers in shopping centers. It’s an honorable business, but but it doesn’t make for ideal pizza. Just to note — I did get a fresh, hot, full-sized pie and that’s what my review is based on. Again, the place itself seems fine and maybe they have other food that is tasty, but based on their pizza alone(since it is a pizza restaurant first and foremost), I’m pretty sure you can do better unless you enjoy run-of-the-mill pizza.

Half a Sicilian pie straight out of the oven. … can’t be beat. Service always top notch. They are expanding. Love it. Everyone I bring there raves about the place and always comes back for more.

I moved away from Norristown over ten years ago, but this is the spot I always come back to. My family orders from here so often, that if you place our«regular» order, the guy on the other end of the phone will sometimes say, «for Rich?» before you even tell him who is picking it up. That regular order? Large cheese pizza, and a Sicilian, light cheese. What can I say, we’re not big on toppings in my family. With so few ingredients, there is nothing to hide behind if you don’t get the basics right – the crust and the sauce. And Via’s always gets the basics right. Aside from the regular order, I’m going to go ahead and say it, Via’s makes my favorite cheesesteak in the entire greater Philadelphia region. Sure, I have never done an exhaustive taste test of all the options, but I don’t really care to. I found what I like. They also make my favorite water ice, ever since Marcy’s closed down way too many years ago. There is a Rita’s near where I live now, but it’s just not even worth it. I wait until I come home, and I get water ice from Via’s. Even if it’s the dead of winter.
