Was a nice little bar with great karaōke songs(good variety). They also have a great craft beer selection, with bartenders that don’t ignore you. The place is pretty small, but didn’t seem too crowded for a Friday night — will definitely be going back!

A great little and friendly bar. They have a wide selection of different beers and the biggest collection of Simpson memorabilia I’ve ever seen. Cool vintage video games and Wacky Pack stickers on the bar

I’ve always driven by this spot on the way to Front Street Beverage Barn(best spot for awesome brews) but didn’t stop in until last night for Thursday half-off draughts! My friends and I were the only people in this quirky bar and sipped away happily with our $ 3 pints. I was a little disappointed with the tap selection. From what I saw there was Guinness, Blue Moon, Smuttynose IPA, and a farmhouse ale that was kicked. The farmhouse was replaced by Ommegang Witte but that wasn’t ready for tasting by the time we finished our first brew. The bartender was super chill and provided us pretzels and mustard for munching as we chatted and pondered what game we should attempt from their overflowing shelves. I would definitely come back here! They have awesome daily deals and at least one cool beer to try. If you like a quiet bar or a bar with a random assortment of people PLUS a variety of games to play then you’ll dig this place. It would be fun to bring a big crowd of friends so you don’t feel so alone in the place. IF you have friends.

I’ve been in this neighborhood so many times and driven right past-I didn’t know of the nest’s existence until I came across it on Unilocal.I was very pleased with the discovery-really cute and unique place for some low key drinks and old school board games.

I enjoyed my time at the Nest– we got tons of pub food off the menu, and while it took awhile to make(small kitchen)…everything was delicious. Great beer menu, lots of nostalgia, and a selection of board games and stuff to play.

If you look up the term quaint in a dictionary, you just might find a picture of this neighborhood bar. The Nest is a great place to meet some nice, unpretentious people, have fun drinks(offered in such cool ways as in a fish bowl and a yard long glass), watch the game and chill. The bar is decorated with such nostalgic adornments, too numerous to list and the logo is awesome; I’d watch a cartoon of these colorful birds if someone ever wanted to make one. Pleasant competent bartenders and a few nice good items if you’re hungry. Come on down… Monday is karaōke with Annie. She’s the second best host on the island!

Came here with a friend on a recent Friday night. The bar itself is strange… Open space but not much seating. The bar has seats, there’s a couch in the back and one or two tiny tables in the front with seemingly weak or rickety stools. The décor seemed less 80s but more someone’s hoarding obsession with the Simpsons and their childhood thrown behind glass or on walls. The crowd was aged 30 – 50 and appeared to be people of average means. The bar, while not packed, lacked ample seating and a sense of flow. I ordered a jack and coke and a rum and coke. Pretty standard. Seemed a bit pricey to me though. The young female bartender seemed overwhelmed. This isn’t my scene or crowd. We gulped our drinks and went elsewhere.

1. Karaōke on Monday’s 2. Really random crowd. 3. Please stay away from the Sangria… it tasted like a mix of prune/apple & cranberry juice. Opt for a mixed drink or beer. 4. Cheap drinks.

Great place! At fist I just assumed we were headed to a typical LI dive bar, but quickly realized how nicely it was decorated. Cool theme, very clean, good use of space and great bar staff. Fast service and a genuin enthusiasm lacking at most average bar settings, made for a great evening for a friends birthday. I Highly reccomend for a different fun night out. All age ranges too.

This bar is a refreshing break from the monotonous dives of Long Island. First, the layout and décor is perfect for a few beers at the bar. With it’s retro 80’s theme there is something to look at in every corner and yet it’s somehow not overdone or «themed». Every bartender I’ve had encountered was enjoyable and personable. They’ve done a great job of hiring. I’ve gone to a few open mic nights here and if I’m not into the music they usually have a live painting happening which is always awesome. You won’t find too many young heads in this bar, but it’s a fun local place to hang out with good company.

Nicely themed 80s atmosphere. Okay tap and decent bottled beer selection. Bartenders very nice and made good mixed drinks. I have been there on week nights and have never had any trouble with seating. Due to the size of the place, when it’s either open mic or karaōke night it can feel awkward when there isn’t much of crowd. That aside, this is one of the better bars in East Meadow.

Great little 80’s themed bar. Bartenders are very friendly. They have a very good selection of craft beer, prices are reasonable for a Long Island bar. The DJ was spinning some great tunes all night, the back table is a giant light bright AND they have a Mrs. PacMan machine! Had a great time and look forward to my next visit!

A cutesy little place with a 80’s themed atmosphere — something very different and unique for LI which is why I like it. The prices are so-so and surprisingly the bartenders were very friendly, I even received some complimentary nachos! Looking for an alternative from all the shitty, divey, disgusting, sports bars in the area? Then come check this place out!

The Nest is a cool spot to have a couple of drinks, you’re instantly amused by the 80’s retro theme of the bar. I like to come here on week nights, I usually order a wells banana bread beer with an order of mixed fruit nuts. Great combination by the way, they do not have a kitchen so do not go with an empty stomach. They do have a small food menu but take it from me you’re better off fixing something up at home. I definitely plan on going back. Beware of their open mic night it can be a tad irritating.

Awesome! 80’s retro décor with the most extensive collection of Simpsons action figures. A table with Bright Lights, a Pacman arcade game and Angry Birds paintings everywhere. Small but decent beer selection and awesome mixed drinks!(Like the smurf juice!) They don’t serve food but they will arrange for catering if you are having a big group come. The place is small but still roomy with a few comfy lounge chairs. Definitely worth a go if you’re in East Meadow!

Saturday night… DJ Funktual is the only one enjoying his playlist. More like discfunktual. Bartenders are super sweet and catering. I gave it 3 stars because this place has potential.

Walked in & immediately the crowd just felt awkward. I’m not sure how to really describe the crowd but hmm yea. Small bar with limited seating area. They do have quite the selection of beers but we left after one drink. I’m sure if you had a group of friends & you wanted the chance to try out many types of beers, the Nest works but there are better options in the area. It just didn’t click for me :(

Nice little bar, but they could do with a more interesting tap selection. With microbrews being so popular their selection falls far short of satisfying. Also there’s no kitchen so theirs no signature treat to show up for either. In the end there’s really no reason for me to come here and spend my money.
