When you first walk in, it looks like a converted Chinese take-out that now makes Mexican food, however it seems like they kept the old staff. Prices are affordable and the food was prepared in just a few minutes, however the quality of food was lacking. The portion size was very small and all of our dishes seemed to be lacking flavor. The salsa was very watery and did not have the bold flavors and chunky texture you would expect. Two of the dishes were also not prepared as ordered. Skip the dining room. It’s obvious that this place was designed for take out. We dined in by mistake; The décor and lay out is just one step up from a prison cafeteria

Ordered delivery through the app — food was cold. At the time, the app said«jalapeño poppers» — they delivered peppers. They then refused to make it right. I asked why I couldn’t exchange it, and the manager told me that since I had ordered through the app, they wouldn’t receive payment for another week, and I should take it up with Unilocal

Love shrimp tacos, shrimp burritos and nachos. On the pricey side but well worth it. We order here atleast once a week

Unilocal stated Taco King was closed today., but they weren’t. Very small location, very clean eating area. In fact the entire restaurant was clean. Had a steak salad. Love their taco shell it was placed in. Great service.

Taco Bell has better quality then this place. Small tacos barely filled with anything other then lettuce. Nachos just thrown together with all the toppings in a different spot. I would not recommend this place to anyone place is a rip off

This place is the king of «nothing» because that’s exactly what it felt like I’d eaten by the time I was done. Tiny tacos for tiny appetites. What they serve can’t even be considered a meal, it’s a snack at best. The soft taco’s barely had any filling. The rice and chicken and chili was in the same kind of styrafoam container you would find a small side salad in. You have to order triple whatever you are ordering just to get full. I could probably count the shreds of lettuce on my hands. The sour cream was about a teaspoon full. The cheese looked like it was only tossed in for a dash of color. The meat was assembled to form one single file line from start to finish of the tortilla. Toss in a few flecks of tomato and that describes exactly what I ate. The shrimp also seemed to be breaded. Why would you do that? Hmm… probably to hide the crappy quality of the shrimp. The watery salsa-ish hot sauce tasted ok. The flavors themselves weren’t the problem here because they weren’t bad. If there was a slightly larger portion I would have given another star at most. A co-worker mentioned this place was good but I didn’t realize theres another Taco King on Hempstead Turnpike not far from here. I am almost certain they must have meant that one and I haven’t even been there yet. I don’t plan on going until I find out whether it’s under the same ownership and if it is… I’ll pass. The employees were friendly enough. Taco Joe’s is closer to me and for the same price they stuff the tacos until they are overflowing and it’s all organic. Taco King is just not worth the money. I anticipate I’ll be eating dinner much earlier than usual tonight. Other things I noticed. The plastic utensils are on the counter in a basket that anyone can grab from. Eww I don’t know where these people’s hands have been. I guess they are just too lazy to throw them into the bags of the takeout orders. The door also sticks on the way out so be sure to push it with force.

I love Mexican food. This is by far the best in the area The fajitas by the pound are unreal. The taco beef is so good I ordered catering for a party and people went crazy Only concern is that they are not adept at catering Need a little marketing Awesome food and price is right!

I really love the food here! I only get delivery because I’m lazy and sometimes it takes 45mins– an hour on weekends, but trust me, It’s worth the wait! The delivery guy is always friendly & the prices are very reasonable. So If you’re looking for some authentic, delicious Mexican food, the. give Taco king a try! You will not be disappointed!

It saddens me to have to give a single star, but people need to beware. This is the first time I’ve ordered from here and the last. I ordered 3 soft tacos and an order of nachos and it came to $ 20. Now I have no problem paying for good food, but when it was delivered, I thought they had forgotten something. The bag was tiny and weighed almost nothing. When I opened the bag I found it was all there. The tacos were rolled smaller than a half dollar(a little larger than a 7 – 11 taquito) with barely anything in them, and the nachos were no better. The nachos consisted of 10 chips(yes I counted) and barely any toppings. Worse yet, one of the tacos was a shrimp taco, and the shrimp had gone bad. I could smell it as soon as I unwrapped it. I called the establishment and explained that I wanted nothing for free, that I just wanted to inform them about the shrimp so no one gets sick, and the«manager» said ok, and hung up. I promptly threw out the take out menu they gave me.

The food was decent enough, but when the delivery person called me to tell me they were here, and 2 minutes later when i wasn’t out front because i was still walking down from the 7th floor of my building, they called me back to yell at me for taking so long. I was appalled, would not order from here again because of how rude this person was.

Taco Tuesday!!! I seem to find myself in the area on Tuesdays and it’s always a bargain. But otherwise the menu is on point and reasonably priced and it’s never a long wait to get food. I guess it’s ok that it’s not actually mexican people not making your food. Chinese make almost eveything else we as Americans consume so why not?

I like the steak and chicken combo. It comes with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and tortilla and a coke. It’s a good take out place and not too expensive for the combo. Individual items are over priced. This place is good but it’s not authentic Mexican food. Nothing to rave about. Afterall it is owned by Asians. But it’s good if you want something quick.

This place is fucking awful. I ordered food, they delivered to the wrong address, and then when I complained, they wouldn’t deliver it to me. I spent 15 dollars and never got anything. DONOTORDERFROMTHEM.

Very good food. If you’re not in the mood for Taco Bell this is a great option. The menu has a lot of choices. You order by number. The portions are very big. My favorite is the steak burrito. They also deliver to anywhere in East Meadow and Levittown.

This is one of our favorites, we prefer this place to chains like Chipotle or Moe’s or Salsarita. food is fresh, lots of options. My favorite is the steak platter — comes with rice, beans, tortillas, lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream.

This place is between a taco bell and a green cactus grill. My second time having it and i think I’m going to be having it more frequently when in the mood for Mexican. Not really a sit-down spot the set up is like the typical Chinese take-out, but great location in the Pathmark shopping center. The staff don“t say much but are nice and very organized. I had the shrimp taco so good, they use jumbo shrimp and the perfect amount in every bite. I had the ground beef taco also so very good and you can tell a very well seasoned beef it was juicy and should be eaten quick or the taco will get soggy, The tortilla bowl salad was a perfect size too i got the chicken it was very filling and the bowl wasn’t the freshest but decent enough to finish. oh and the best part are the prices are defiantly getting more for your buck.

Good office lunch Mexican food. Their chicken and guacamole combo is tasty. Fresh grilled chicken over yellow rice with lettuce and guacamole. Two tortilla and a free soft drink. All for $ 6, not bad. Only negative is the Guacamole isn’t the freshest as it appears to be pre made or from an industrial size jar. Its a bit watery. Idea for owner, go to Chipotle, order a side of guacamole and chips and see the difference. I have had their quesadilla and this it tasty as well. As others have said, its kind of in the middle between Taco Bell(much better than TB) and not quite as good as Green Cactus. So 3 stars for now. Change the guacamole and maybe 4!

I received a flyer in the mail and decided to check it out! Good food, great prices. Love that they have lots of veggie options. Owner was very friendly as we chatted while I waited for my food. Not really a sit-down spot(set up like typical Chinese take-out), but great location in the Pathmark shopping center. Not many Mexican take-out spots in LI like there are in Queens. So this is a great option in between a lower chain Mexican spot like Taco Bell(I use«Mexican» very loosely, lol) and a higher chain Mexican: Chipotle/Green Cactus/Moe’s Southwestern. Yummy! Plain and simple.
