My Nail & Spa NY

Made an appointment with Iris since she was reccommended by my fellow Unilocalers. She only had time for manicure, and that went well. I could tell that she was experienced and skilled. I also noticed that she knew and greeted all of her customers by name.
Then came pedicure time. That’s when things went sideways. A young male employee who’s been sitting and observing while everyone else worked came to do my pedicure. When he tried to up-​sell the «callous remover» he didn’t understand when I said I just want the «regular» pedicure.
Then he began buffing all my toe nails and digging the cuticle cutter tips into my skin rather than using them to cut cuticles. I had to stop him a few times from digging. I was trying to be patient, but my nails and cuticles looked worse than when he started.
When Iris was done with her client I asked her if she’s fix his mess. That included filing my nails again to remove the raggedy edges and cutting the cuticles properly. She obliged. She then worked on repairing the damage and completed the polish.
I may give My Nail & Spa another try but will have to be very specific about which technician works on my nails.

Staff is always friendly, and love the way they do my nails, and love the fact that their pedicure sinks are covered with individual disposable plastic for clean hygiene

I love this nail salon! The staff is always kind and they are hardworking! I love the SNS nails! They last longer than gel and does not damage your nail! Iris is the best

I have been going to this nail salon for years. I moved from East Meadow to Lido Beach and still travel to get my nails done at my nail and spa. Iris is always very accommodating. They do a great job. Best pedicures. I have had my nails done at places near my new home when I can’t travel and nothing compares to the service they provide. Not to many nail places give you a back massage when your finished which I think is a wonderful perk they offer. Give them a try and you will be happy you did.

I LOVE this place, I Agree Iris is wonderful! Always friendly and loving. Everyone that works here is friendly. I’ve been a customer for years since my son was a few months old. and now he’s 7 years old. This is the main reason that I come here. Iris takes her time, always gives you the best service. My nails always look amazing. Iris and her staff treat everyone like family. What I find so impressive is that they know their customers by name. They don’t rush you. You don’t feel like all they want is your money. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s a business but they truly treat everyone with respect and like family. They offer me tea and even teach me how to speak chinese-​mandarin. I truly love this place.

This place does not even deserve one star. My skin was cut off by a cuticle cutter and left my finger throbbing. I have multiple pictures of my finger bleeding inside and in front of this place. It wasn’t just a little pull too hard. She actually took off some of my skin. They acted unprofessionally and were talking like it was no big deal. But my finger was bleeding really bad. I did not get a manicure and I went home and cleaned my bleeding cut the best I could. My cut was bleeding through bandaids and I had to keep changing them. This was the worst experience I have ever had a nail salon.

Very quite and calming. Had a gel mani and while polish was soaking off they gave me a back massage and after my mani another one. The lady did a OCD mani on me and I was falling asleep from it. My daughter got a full in and loved it too.

I’ve been going here for years. Iris does a wonderful & thorough job always. The staff are all sweet and great!
