We have been with them for a very long time and every experience from checkups to the final days of some of our cats has been the best we could ask for. The whole office from reception, to assistant, to Dr. Rife are caring and kind. We would recommend them as highly as possible to anyone who loves their pets. Fantastic Drs. fantastic staff! I’ve been using them for almost 20 years and have never been disappointed. Even when I’ve had to have the sad experience of having one of my beloved pets put down, Dr. Rife made the whole experience what I needed it to be. They have both been generous with their time and knowledge and genuinely care about my animals. I love them!

The best!!! Dr. Rife and the entire staff ha be been wonderful to me and my cats. I started going there when I lived in East Haven but for the last 10 years I drive in from North Haven. I wouldn’t even consider changing. Clean, caring and compassionate.

This is a skilled and compassionate practice that you can trust when you are seeking care for your pet.
Sadly, we had to put our 16 year old maltepoo to sleep two weeks ago. We were devastated but their sensitivity and humane approach helped us through this painful process.
Both Dr Rife and Dr Dammando, as well as their support staff, are well trained and spend plenty of time with their ‘patients’.

I have a very anxious dog who is a total disaster in a vets office — at least at every other vets office. Dr. Heather Rife and her staff were incredibly, calm, reassuring and most of all patient. And literally had my dog eating out of their hands before we left the office. I really could not be more impressed with them. I actually feel badly that I stayed with my old vet for as long as I did. They truly have the animal’s best interests at heart — both mentally and physically.

I can’t recommend this clinic highly enough — especially Dr. Rife. She has taken care of my two dogs since they were both puppies (one is now 7, the other is almost 3). We’ve had a couple of difficult illness episodes and when I called the clinic, they were able to fit me in a busy schedule immediately. I teach at a local university and referred several students there — they too have been impressed with the professionalism, care, and great veterinary knowledge of the vets and staff.

I’m quite pissed at this clinic to be truthful. I called them on Monday about my cat. A few months back I had put claw caps on her front paws. They are supposed to be safe and fall off easily. I had be referred to them by several friends who found them successful. My plan was to put them on her for a couple of months so she wouldn’t scratch up our carpet until my fiancé completed the cat tree he was building her. All the caps have fallen off except for three of them. Left a message with the clinic explaining this to them and that they were starting to push up against her pads and making it uncomfortable for her to walk. I told them I can not safely cut the nails with my clippers and I needed their help to get it taken care of. A week later, I hear NOTHING back from them. I’ve tried calling them during business hours and I can never get through. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service. Granted, it isn’t a life or death sort of problem, but it is a problem none the less and I should have received a call back at least directing me to a center that could help me if they could not. Why trust your pet’s health with a clinic that can even get back to you on simple problems?! I’ll place the welfare of my pets with a more respectable clinic.
