White pizza heaven! Love love love. Just the right touch of garlic and the cheese has just the right amount of saltiness. I have never eaten anything else on the menu so I can not speak to that, but the white pizza is def great.

My husband and I ordered subs from here. It seems as if the bread is made there; it tastes fresh and toasty. I got the cheese steak and he got the chicken parm sub. Pretty good. Prices were fine, and they even gave us a discount for working at the hospital. We are used to subs in PA and for some reason, we cannot find subs in CT that compare to how they’re made there. Nevertheless, we will get subs from this place in the future. Edit, 2÷25÷2016: consistent with freshness. Subs were great. Grilled chicken sub is delicious. Worth another star to me.

Was taking a short ride and had the urge for a white clam pizza and saw Minervini’s Pizza ahead. I knew right away my I found a good place to make that pie. The waitress was very friendly and good to point out how good the pizza was going to be. I ordered a small white clam pizza along with a Foxon Park Birch Beer. The pizza came out just right, thin crust and fresh clams that were just shucked with Lemon ledges. The first bite told me I had found a great White Clam Pizza place. I must say I have had some good white clam pizza all over New Haven county and my taste buds told me this is one of the best !!! I give the cook and staff High Fives. Place was clean and the staff was very friendly and the pizza was just great. I know I have found a good place to have a great tasting White Clam Pizza. Thanks Minervini“s for a great pizza. I will be back

Recommend Anniellos right around the corner. Ordered two pizzas. Forgot onion on one of the pies. The second pie didn’t have any broccoli at all. Called to inform manger. Owner answered, didn’t care at all told me I’m better off going to Anniellos Never will get take out or order from this place. Terrible service and poor management Pretty sure the new owners are Muslim not even Italian worst 30 dollars I’ve spent should of got McDonald’s

I just moved into town and I need to find my spots. You have to kiss some frogs… This place is a toad. Ordered something simple to see if they do it right. I grew up on modern and Sally’s. A large mozz. There’s only a few things you have to get right, they got the sauce right, but they use the cheap cheese, not a big difference in case price and make or breaks the pie imo. Another thing is pizza dough is thin… It shouldn’t be doughy… Anywhere. This was under cooked, only by a couple minutes. With all the dagos in this town, there’s got to be one good pie factory… Wtf? I’ll probably give them another shot with a sandwich or something else down the road… Me and their pizza though, we’re done. There’s just too much good pie just on the other side of the bridge to mess around. I’m giving them a 3 because I can’t give them a 2 ½. If you grew up in a shit town on the west coast or you’re European or from the great desert and you don’t know wtf good, proper pizza is anyway… Go for it, the stuff will probably be gold to you.3

The building does look like much, bit scary if you come in the back door. But the food makes up for it. The buffalo wings were hot and crispy with a good kick to the teeth without making you regret them. The pizza smelled divine before getting to the table. The pizza was full, nicely toasted crust with a decent amount of grease without being disgusting. The cheese and the pepperoni were fresh and seasoned well. The kids loved it, eating silently for the first time in long time.

This place USED to be great when the actual minervinis owned it, if you buy a business name then the recipes should stay the same. Clams casino pizza was put to shame. The only nice part of my experience was the service. There are too many great pizza places around to be subpar.

A good place for take out. The pizza is pretty good. Ordered sub sandwiches once and got the wrong thing. The take out driver is usually on his cell phone gabbing away, so not so professional. So average overall. But a decent local pizza to go place.

Ordered chicken grinder this Thursday from them, it was really good. The chicken was little dry but not terrible. Have tried there pizza before and I would say the pizza is also pretty good nothing special, but above average.

Gross. Worth driving to New Haven for pizza with decent sauce. My whole family was ill an hour after eating here… Coincidence? Considering how filthy and dusty and gross the place is, probably not.

I wish there was a 0 star. Horrible. We had delivery and ordered the buffalo chicken and the clams casino. They were both SOGGY and WET. The clams casino looked like it dropped because all of the cheese and toppings were on one side of the pizza. Buffalo chicken was just plain old soggy. The next day the 4 of us were feeling like crap and had stomach problems. I am staying away.

Our family argued whether Minervini’s was better than Tolli’s, so we ordered a Mozz and Mozz/Meatball pizza from both places on the same night and did a taste test. Minervini’s was the clear winner. The Tolli’s pizza was too chewy, the crust wasn’t as good. Minervini’s was a little thicker, closer to a Pepe’s New Haven pizza. Minervini’s sauce and cheese taste was better as well. The box Minervini’s uses is heavier and keeps the pizza warm. Also, the girls that work the counter at Tolli’s are not has customer service oriented(if they make a mistake, you don’t even get«I’m sorry») as the wait staff at Minervini’s. 8−23−12 Just heard they sold the business so not sure if the pizza is the same. The owners opened a new place in Wallingford

Minervini’s is not located on Main Street in East Haven, right across from the Hagaman Memorial Library. This is the best Pizza place in East Haven.(Yes, even better than Tolli’s). The quality of food is very consistent, and the Wait Staff(usually a member of the Minervini Family) is always pleasant. It does get busy from time to time and the downside is you may have a little longer than anticipated wait for your food. The wait is almost always worth it. The only problem I see with their new location is that in the Winter the dining area gets a draft from customers coming in the front door. They’ve tried to remedy this by putting a curtain up, and it’s helped a little. Hopefully as time goes on they’ll get a second door or think of a better method to keep the cold air out. On a side note, they don’t have a liquor permit, so plan on bringing your beer or wine with you. A package store is located a few doors down, if you do forget though.
