Good looking bikes, the guys in the back are friendly helpful and do a great job. However, went to drop off my bike to get it checked out, to get air in the tires and couple more little things. bill was close to 230 $, ask questions to the owner about the bill. Her response was — «it’s East Hampton what can I tell you» me and my friend recently bought 2 bikes from that place and got another friend to buy one and that’s the response we got! Never going to drop off a bike to get anything done there! Next stop south Hampton or montauk. Awesome staff and not overly priced.

We rented two bikes from bermuda bikes. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a map with the best routes to the beach. The bikes were brand new and their prices for rental were very affordable $ 35/day(we have paid $ 40/day in Fire Island for crappy bikes). In sum, it was a great experience and we highly recommend them.

If I could give zero stars I would. Buyer Beware! We went to Bermuda Bikes to buy two new cruiser bikes. They sold me mine and told my husband they had a bike for him but it would have to be built and he should come back the next day. We went there and they sold him a bike. 2 weeks with 3 rides later his seat broke off the frame. We went back to have it repaired and they told us that the frame isn’t under warranty because the seat was too high and we should buy a new bike. They sold him a bike way too small for him and were very defensive as soon as we arrived and purposely talked to is in the back and stated they didn’t want to disrupt customers. They don’t want customers knowing how bad they are and rip off customers. Terrible customer service from the workers there and the owner is no better. They wanted us to buy a new bike. Go elsewhere. I do recommend the bike store in Amaghansett. We went there to look at road bikes and the owner seems very genuine and caring.

Terrible customer service. Not personable or a good place to purchase a bike. Primarily specialized road bikes and not knowledgable of appropriate fitting.

Great service! I brought my bike for new tires and a «tune-up.» They repaired bearings and cones and the bike feels like new. The price was reasonable, and the men were cheerful and eager to help. I recommend Bermuda Bikes.

This is a great local shop, still run by mom & pop– unfortunately not many of them left in this small town due to the invasion by pretentious boutiques that do not add anything to the local economy because they disappear in the winter. This is the only bike shop in town; it employs local students and gives them a chance to stay out of the streets to learn something productive. I go to Bermuda bikes for all my biking needs. I’ve always been greeted with a smile and young people willing to help. I was measured and fitted for my bike, which I am very happy with, I’ve rented bikes from them for guests and my repairs have been delivered when promised. Definitely recommend them just leave your snobbish attitude at the door.

I am sad to write this one. This was my childhood bike store. My grandfather took me here in 1982 or 1983 to buy my first bicycle. It was a tradition that continued with my brother and cousins. We always relied on Bermuda Bikes to service our bikes each summer. I’m sad because having not been there for 10 or 15 years I went there a couple of days ago to buy a bike to have at my summer house. There seemed to be kids working the store without much adult supervision. The employees lacked any knowledge about their products. One of the employees strongly recommended a Specialized Vita which is a woman’s model. When I finally decided to settle on Specialized CIrrus, the same model I have at home, they told me that they didn’t have it in stock and would have to make a special order. In order to do this I would be charged an extra shipping fee!!! Sigh. I think Bermuda Bikes has seen it’s best days and I am sad to see it go. I am sure it WILL go… there is no way a business managed this way can stay in business. In summary: Almost no inventory Uneducated employees Lack of customer focus RIP

Needed some tubes and I asked them for 3 along with a patch kit. Then I found out the price … 12 bucks a pop. Which made the patch kit at the normal 3 bucks seem like a bargain. These were standard specialized tubes, not superlights. Then told me they could direct me to another shop with lower quality tubes. WTF my shop in soho charges six, which is a huuuuge markup considering at cost these are under a dollar. Thanks east hampton, I’ll remember not to get a flat in your village.

DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE. i went in today to pay them to assemble some bikes for me – i was willing to pay whatever they asked to assemble these bikes. they are the ONLY bike store in east hampton… they were so rude from the MOMENT we started talking i was completely blown away — in this economy to boot ??? I get it, you won’t assemble bikes not bought from them, but do you have to tell me in such a rude way that i am so angry i want to go to Unilocal and write you a terrible review ?.. I went to Amagansett Beach and Bicycle instead; where they were SO nice, gave me a great price and were willing to help me for multiple items i needed addressed. shame on you Bermuda Bikes ! you are giving East Hampton a bad name. you ruined my morning.
