ARK Porcelain Refinishing

We used this company in June of 2015 on a rehab house for $ 500. In late Sept we received a notice that they had put a lien on the property 1 week before closing for over $ 1,100. ARK never called, never sent a bill to where we instructed, never sent a letter, never emailed. On top of that they did a very poor job. Go elsewhere to a professional company.

Ark refinished my bathtub about 4 years ago. I had some pealing due to a leak. I called Ark to see if they could repair. The Owner said they could and would be out in the next three weeks. I never heard back from them. I had to call again and at that time would not hang up till I got a date and time for them to come out. They charged me 90 dollars to do a 20 minute patch job. When I asked how this happened he said the caulk need to be redone. I asked him to please do that in case more chipped off and he said no that it would take him to long but that the paint should not come off when you are taking caulk off. Well the paint did chip off while I was taking caulk off (just as I thought) I called the next day to tell him he said he was going to charge me 180 dollars more to come out and fix. He was very rude and was yelling at me, I could not get a word in. He actually started to scare me the way he was acting. I hung the phone up when he started to get really irate. My husband did not when any problems with him he knew where we lived. Really think twice before using this company as there are many other refinishing companies out there. I had my tub fixed by elector bond who did a fantastic job!

ARK has refinished both our art deco bathtub and pedestal sink and they look terrific.
Having used a bathtub refinishing service in the past, I was skeptical about finish quality and durability. (the old tub finish cracked in less than 2 years) I have to say that this time around both my wife and I are pleasantly surprised by how nice the finish looks (better than new). After 9 months of hard use and cleaning, both items are holding up great. As ARK offers a 5 year warranty, I have no reason to believe this will be an issue. I have and will continue to recommend ARK to anyone looking to refinish their tub, tile or sink.

They did a wonderful job of refinishing the tub, it looked great at a glance… but unfortunately we discovered there were defects in the finish. The fixed it and a year later we noticed tiny holes in the tub and on on the side. They said that these were chips and we must have caused the tiny holes by dropping something – what could we drop on the outside of the tub to chip it???
So they charged us $ 90 to come out and fix the three tiny holes in the finish, 2 in the tub and one on the outside. I hope that we won’t need them to come out again.

Our family moved into a new house this past summer. The master bedroom bathroom shower base as well as the 2^nd floor bathroom tub were in bad shape and needed desperate attention (both my 8 year old daughter and I said that we were not going to step foot in the bathtubs/​base until they were refinished…). The cost was very reasonable (and the workers seemed like they were at our house all day… didn’t realize the labor involved in re-​finishing bathtubs and shower bases). There were 2 guys who came to our house and worked their you-​know-​what out. They were very friendly and worked very hard that day. They also did a great job in protecting the work site and surrounding area and cleaned up after they were done. Our bathtub and shower base look brand new! I highly recommend Ark!

Ark worked quickly and professionally. They made our tub look fabulous, and they did it without disrupting the rest of our home.
I used to hate our cracking and mildewed tub. I really didn’t want to go the route of one of those covers, and as it’s a vintage, smaller bathroom, I really wanted it to look like it used to look. Now our tub looks clean, sleek, and brand new.
The price was reasonable, considering how much a new tub would cost.
I recommend Ark highly.
