I like this place. I really only get a trim, so I don’t mind stopping in quickly to have that done. It’s nice that you don’t really have to make an appointment, you can just walk in and get your haircut. The prices are pretty fair. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before someone seeded me. If you aren’t looking for anything extravagant, this is a great place to stop in if you’re in a hurry.

Went for a men’s haircut and had a very below-average experience. I had Megan, who literally finished my haircut in less than 15 min. That kind of speed is not a good thing when it comes to barbershops. The cut was… okay(not terrible for $ 14, but also nothing great). After the cut, she whipped the apron cover right off, without asking to confirm if I happy was with it. Didn’t ask if I wanted any changes and went straight to the register. After I paid, I gave a tip, which was not even acknowledged with a simple thank you, or a smile. I got a coupon on the receipt for my next cut here, but I guess I won’t be needing that. One good comment: The online check-in system is very effective at minimizing wait time.

Well… nothing like being in an unfamiliar area and you need a quick cut. This was the second Great Clips we hit while visiting Rutgers. The first one(check my other review) was awful and I walked out. They did not honor the online check in. And I waited 20 minutes as they called back their regulars who checked in after me. So I check in with this one, 5 minutes away. i walked in and the check in screen was turned towards the waiting area — and my name was right there — NEXT. I was taken back immediately by Karen(I think) and she gave my very difficult hair(over processed naturally curly) a great cut. She was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I HATE stylists who tell you everything that’s wrong with your hair. Nobody needs that. She was great. Ask for her. And she was grateful for the generous tip. Go see her NOW.

Do yourself a favor and ask for Megan. She did a great job with my kid’s hair. I stopped on one evening for a trim and wound up with Juliann and she is absolutely clueless. She seemed both unfriendly and confused about how to do a basic haircut. It’s possible to get a decent haircut here(even one with style), but it all depends on who’s holding the scissors.
