Good food, drinks and ambiance. Extremely friendly staff. A bit pricy, but it feels like a classy joint so, that’s to be expected. Definitely a nice place for some evening cocktails and convo.

We have been coming to the Mockingbird for years and always enjoy it. The baked stuff haddock is to die for. My wife loves their Prime Rib as it is cooked to perfection. Unfortunately our dinner was ruined the other night by a large party of adults(about 12) who came into the restaurant swearing, dropping the F-Bomb like children and acting like they were the only ones there. Not only did we complain but so did other diners. Unfortunately the table just ignored the complaints and acted like teenagers out at a house party. These were adults in their 40s. Low class. We will continue to go to The Mockingbird and hope to never encounter such disrespect from fellow adults.

Wow came to the Mockingbird with a group of friends. 12 of us. When we came in we met at the bar. The manager came up to us and immediately told us we needed to make an isle for peeps walk through. We were totally fine with that but he was so nasty the way he said it. No worries maybe he’s having a bad night. We eventually get seated and we are all enjoying our time and the manager comes over to us again and tells us to quiet down. Don’t get me wrong we are a bit loud but so is everyone else here. So we quieted down. A little later he came over again. We feel so unwelcome. It’s like if you want to eat in a library come one in. If you are in a group trying laugh and have good times we wouldn’t recommend coming here. Hostile environment. Oh well. Love and learn will never come here again.

By far the best meal I have had in a while. Loved the extensive martini list as well. The only thing that we weren’t happy about was being handed the check and told they close in 10 minutes and we couldn’t have another drink. Would have been nice to hear ahead of time, especially since it was a Saturday night. We felt kicked out and were very disappointed

The food was better than average. The service was excellent. The martinis are decent. The only thing that i did not like was that the tables were plain. I thought that for the prices and type of food served, the tables should have tablecloths. I thought that was a short-cut that should not be taken. i will return to this restaurant.

We love The Mockingbird and have been loyal patrons for years. The service is always great, food is delicious, drinks are icy cold and wonderful. We are friendly with all the bartenders, servers, and some of the kitchen staff. It is always a good time. I was recently disappointed that they couldn’t accommodate my request for reservations on a Saturday night. I was hoping to have my wedding at The Mockingbird so I could share my favorite restaurant with my friends and family. But both the manager and the owner, Frank, explained that I wouldn’t get the service I’ve come to know since Saturdays are so busy and he already had a few functions booked on the date I was looking for. Since I wasn’t willing to compromise on the date, there wasn’t a whole lot he could do. But he did take the time to personally respond to my request, which I appreciated. Love the place, all the employees, and I hope to be back there soon.

Just passing through and stopped for a dinner. Burger and fries were very good. Nice table outside and very friendly staff. Good prices. Will definitely go there again.

I’d love to give Mockingbird a 5 star review… The food was awesome, facility beautiful, waitstaff very friendly & helpful, but there’s one big problem… A gentleman named Frank that coordinates the functions. He is incredibly rude and downright nasty. He was like a black cloud hovering over our event. He made a couple comments that should never come out of the mouth of someone in a professional business position. It’s a shame that normally I would recommend this location to anyone looking to host an event, but because of how uncomfortable Frank made us, I have to refrain from any recommendations. I will say that you could tell the staff also recognized Frank’s bad attitude and overall unprofessional behavior and did their best to make up for the bad energy he brought to the day which was SO appreciated!

I cannot say enough about this place to do it any justice. We just had my daughter’s baby shower there and it was perfect. The stunning room to the amazing staff and wonderful food to say the least. I could not find fault with one thing and will highly recommend it to everyone!

The food I found to be good, just wish there was more gluten free choices and its alittle on the pricy side…

Mockingbird — welcome to the 5 Star club. We always start with one of their great martinis. Problem is deciding which one to get. This is just a primer for great food. We’ve not had one bad … or even average meal here. I guess I’d say the shrimp cocktail’s are average but the stuffed mushroom special we had was outstanding. Some the awesome entrée dishes we’ve tried include the duck — with sweet, berry crispy skin and moist meat, the seared sea scallops with butternut squash ravioli had my wife moaning like … well just moaning, the macadami nut crusted Salmon is always a hit and the tips and baked haddock might seem routine but they always seem to kick it up to something special. When we go we prefer to sit in the smaller, more cozy, dinning area off the lounge area. That’s not always possible though as this place is very popular. We haven’t gotten desert here … unless you consider a milky way martini a desert … which we do. Yum.

Great martinis! I love coming here the food is always great! The pork tenderloin is delicious, the char grilled steak tips also a great choice. The warm crab dip is a great starter. The salads that come with every meal as a choice are great especially the Caesar salad. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They have a 3 martini limit. Which is great for those who get rowdy off a few drinks. The bartenders are great and always make you feel welcome. The manager Tom has moved on but the new manager is very sweet and engaging.

We had duck breast, Scallops with Butternut squash, Caesar salad Appetizer toasted cheese ravioli Dessert Chocolate lava cake. The food was good, but not remarkable. I gave 3 stars because I thought the service was very attentive — not expert — but very attentive. The consensus from our group was that the food was NOT quite good enough for the price. The décor was a little dated or nondescript. Meh

I’ve been going to the Mockingbird for years. But sadly, I’m only giving them 2 stars. Had I written this review 6 years ago they probably would’ve received 5. They have gone downhill over the years, mainly their food quality. I’ve tried everything from the pork to the seafood. Over the last 2 years(maybe longer) each meal I’ve ordered has been overcooked. At first, I just figured it was a busy night, one time thing, I tried it again. And again. Until finally Mockingbird is no longer on the«out for dinner» list anymore. It’s not cheap there and having an overcooked meal time and time again for that price is not acceptable to me. I’ve only gone recently due to friends wanting to visit the«Martini Bar». Their martini’s are delicious and the list is gigantic, but the food quality alone ruins it for me. They are jam-packed on Friday/Saturday nights most of the time. There are rare instances where I’ve gone and got seated right away, but don’t expect that. Service is very, very slow. I’ve sat and waited for water for 10 minutes and this happened during a very slow time. The servers don’t really come over to you during dinner to check on the food or your beverages. As for the ambiance and feel of the restaurant, I would’ve said it was an intimate(but LOUD) adult restaurant. But my boyfriend and I went there for dinner(before the rush time) and we got a quiet table in the corner, perfect for a romantic dinner for two. As we received our bread they seated a family, including loud children, right next to us. There were plenty of open tables away from us, but they chose to seat them directly next to us. That was a poor choice on their part and one of the last straws for us going there. Overall, for the long wait times, the poorly cooked food, the prices, the absent servers, and even the family restaurant feel(which is not what I want at that price) I no longer go here and I’m saddened. Will I ever try them again in the future? Maybe, but not very likely.

We first ate here about a year ago and did not have a good experience. We gave it another try a couple of months ago and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, tonight was our third visit and we won’t be coming back. Went there with wife and kids for dinner around 6 pm on a Friday. Place was not busy but waitress took a long time to get to us. She was slow to get to us all night. Food was all slightly off. Had the wings as an appetizer and they had an off putting smell(also a little pricey for only 6 wings). Wife had the chicken with prosciutto and did not like at all. I had the Thai scallops with stir fry vegetables and rice(waitress said it was one of their best sellers). The scallops smelled very fishy as if the had gone bad and the food was drenched in fry oil. I mean a lot of oil. The only thing we liked was the kids chicken fingers and fries. Did not risk desert and went to Peaceful Meadow next door for ice cream.(Probably order pizza later tonight as I’m sure we’ll be hungry.)

I have been here several times. The atmosphere is great(tends to be noisy). The service is top notch, staff and management very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I’ve never felt ignored or pushed out the door. The food is always excellent! From chicken to pork, beef to duck, I’ve haven’t been disappointed.

We had a great experience here– definitely one of the better South Shore dining experiences available. It doesn’t look like much from the outside(when we arrived we were a little skeptical upon seeing it’s attached to some kind of function hall), but before even getting inside we could see the cozy glow and smell the delicious food. We waited a bit(probably about 40 min) on a busy Friday night but had no trouble getting drinks and a place for our whole group to stand on the bar side. We started with Starburst martinis which came with a Starburst candy on a toothpick– I’m a sucker for small fun extras like that, and the drink was tasty. Service was great, with good recommendations. Appetizers including the calimari were mediocre in my opinion and I’d recommend leaving more room for your entrée instead. We all loved our entrees and everyone got something different– I had the lobster ravioli which was a huge portion and the person who got the duck said it was among the best he’s ever had. I also love a place where I have trouble choosing what to get and already know what I’ll get when I come back because there are so many good sounding choices– this place offered me that with both food and drinks!

This place is great. I’ve lived in the south shore my whole life and I had never been until last night. I went out on a date of sorts and the atmosphere was perfect. The seats were super comfy too.(Bonus!) I ordered the steaktips, which were phenomenal. The flavor was excellent and even the fries were delicious. The portions are so huge; leftovers are a sure thing. We also had the fried cheese ravioli for an appetizer because, of course, it was free thanks to Unilocal! We agreed that we would order them even if they were not free because they were that tasty. I got a drink because I had to– it’s a martini lounge. Personally not a fan of vodka… I like whiskey… strictly. So I tried the blue freeze pop because it has Soco in it. It tasted like cough medicine, and the consistency was about the same. Luckily this place is run by an excellent staff and they replaced my drink with their house sangria which I chose as a go-to. It was excellent and tasted very fresh. The service was excellent as our waitress was beyond sweet and the owner even came over to say hello. Overall awesome experience at this spot which will now go under my «hidden gems» category. We will definitely be back!
